Take it from a chicago native, you WILL be living on campus period... That entire surrounding area is fucking englewood.. which is the shittyest of shit neighborhoods and basically Detroit, If you take the greenline back to campus from the city, you WILL be tailed, beat up and end up with your shoes coat and hat stolen. I cant express enough how UoC location is completely surrounded by literly pure niggerism, its not pretty.. Do NOT take CTA anywhere, anywhere..

I attended Uchicago many years ago and it was fucking amazing. That being said. I think college is overrated now in days. It was essential for me because all these online resources were barely popping up. Now you can learn just about anything online. Universities are now only good for networking, which I think puts Uchicago far ahead of Berkeley.

It's top tier in econometrics and economics in general iirc.

I’m going here right now in my third year. Don’t fucking come here unless you are willing to work your ass off, the social vs work life balance is not good, parties are mediocre, girls are mediocre (there are some cuties but overall girls here are uglier than at other top schools). It sorta helps with getting good positions but not as much as u think.
