Majority of people who have been around for several years and held BTC have made more money than most people will do while holding alts in the next years. BTC is finite, has the most global attention and legitimacy.

It is not about being a "cultist", I did make more money with alts myself. But if you open your eyes to reality you'll undeniably find Bitcoin at the very center of all which is Crypto. Not ETH, BCH or any other alt. Its Bitcoin, and the chance for this thing to go to 10x-50x in the future is a whole lot better than most other projects out there.

You could have bought the top of any previous bubble leading to 2017 and you'd be fine now. Alts did indeed make more gains, but how much money did people actually get out on average? I don't think the masses of investors during 2017 got more profits out than the masses who held BTC from 2016 through 2017. Whoever took x50-100 on an alt is a small minority here.

No, not necessarily. Don't confuse volatility for gains either. How many of these alts will be around in 10 years by now? Objectively if you look at Bitcoin we are still in an unstoppable 10 year bull run. The only pessimistic scenarios we see have not lasted longer than most altcoins have been around. Bitcoin going x100 tomorrow is not less plausible than an altcoin in the top 100 doing the same.
