Legitimate question about the REQ happenings with Wikimedia France:

So the reason being stated is that REQ had misrepresented the nature of the partnership and made used the Wikimedia logo instead of the Wikimedia France logo. Now in the email it said REQ needs to fix the issue by 5/1/18, and they fixed the issue on 4/29/18.

So why is Wikimedia France being so bitchy about the whole deal when they got what they asked for? Is this what it is like to work with the French?

REQ is a scam.

Wikimedia already has a foul taste in their mouth around crypto and our communities. REQ posting misleading announcements only made it worse. I would be my assumption that Wikimedia global hinted that Wikimedia France shouldn't associate itself with a project such as Request, and just like that it was gone.

Wiki france was probably ordered to cut it by wiki hq. Their boss never liked all this crypto shit

The team said they learnt about it yesterday with the e-mails. I think they just wanted a way to terminate the partnership since the wikimedia foundation hates cryptocurrencies.

Honestly only thing that makes sense at this point. Sucks REQ had to be the whipping boy but they have some blame as well.

This is unfortunate and sucks that we will probably not get a real explanation from Wikinedia France. I don't buy their reason because of that PS at the end. Makes me think big Wikimedia had a say in this.

What did I tell you fucking REQlets?

The partnership was illegitimate, and since there were no consequences to flow out of it. You bastards called me a FUding Pajeeet.

You cocksuckers are now eating shit, I'll see you on the way down to 3 cents when the PwC announcement turns out to be fraudulent.

This has shown the team to be on par with telemarketing scammer pajeets and Nigerian 419 scammers.

The reason is obvious.

No working product, no means of implementing a donation feature in crypto.

Wikimedia can just go to a proper, professional entity with actual professionals who have industry credentials, and use their product, instead of some amateur-hour shitfest that is Request.

What's the point of announcing a partnership if not a single dollar of transaction volume or revenue flows out of it?

Most crypto partnerships are fraudulent.
