Is this book worth reading?
I'm currently an intern living at home, managing to save up a lot of money, but I'm pretty new to investing. What books are the most essential to getting started?

This book is less about getting rich and more about effectively accomplishing what you want to.

I'd still recommend it though.

Its a very short book, and the sauce for some of the most marketed ideas today. The principles are sound but actually difficult to pull off.

It's the bible of success books. Most shit that comes out today is a derivative of this book.

Hill was paid by carnegie to study 100 successful people. Way better than listening to tim ferris blow himself in the 4 hour work week.

Every book is worth reading. You just gotta apply your own interpretation to things. (don't be so literal in things you read/hear)

Perfect thread for I wanted to ask does anyone have that image of /biz/ recommended reading list? I'm 18 and I want to get as much information as I can.
Think an grow rich is more of a self help book and a very great one at that.
Also where do you guys go for actual information and advice? There's a meme that half of /biz is filled with trolls and the other half falling for it.

It seemed pretty gay to me when I read it. Lots of pseudo-spirituality bullshit.

But hey, it's a pretty short read.

Equate "infinite intelligence" and the like with the unconscious mind and it suddenly makes a lot more sense from a cognitive psychological standpoint.

Reminder that Hill spent most of his life broke.

Also he died broke and alone after his wife left him because she got tired of being broke.

the book is pretty /x/ tier

the great "secret" that he never quite says but wants you to put together is that some higher power be it the universe or god listens to your thoughts and will give you what you want if you work hard enough like some law of attraction type shit

if you get rid of the /x/ crap and boil it down to "work hard towards goals" then it's a good book but ignore the universe shit if you want to keep your sanity
