Back in the day all the /biz/ was ecstatic about LINK and cumulatin while it was still an ED thing. Many ppl actually read the WP and were impressed. Others just rode the hype. But still, you hardly met anyone, who would ask you to spoonfeed them what CL or oracle problem is. Perhaps, that is because there were tons of good quality posts describing why ppl believe this shit is the future.

The fud existed from day 1. Cayman islands, 2 man team, gay project, tolilet fud appeared. Don't remember its origin. Probably there was a loo in a photo of Sergey's presentation at some class. Ultimately the loo meme evolved in "stinky linky". Ironically, "stinky linky" lives and prospers while almost everybody seems to have forgotten about the toilet fud.
Overall, the fud was low quality and intended to be a joke. Nobody took it seriously.

Unexpectedly LINK was added to Binance and the prices went up a lot. SIBOS hype was growing. But when Sergey presented at Sibos, the pump collapsed really fast.
Funnily enough, Sergey couldn't possibly trigger the sell out, as there was no video of him presenting. Just a bunch of sharks dropping their bags on LINK maximalists at an agreed time.

But then we had our first schism, when SIBOS was on the way.
Some ppl were claiming you should sell the news, priced in meme was born. Mostly it related to the SWIFT partnership: linkies were discovering year old PoC statements, articles and notes by Sergey. Sure, linkies liked what they saw and wanted to share it, but it didn't change the fact they were sharing old news. It was priced in from the very start.
The majority, however, preferred holding. Yet certain ones expected LINK to skyrocket after SIBOS and kept buying more and more.
After that the calm of November came. The BTC forking and futures drama hit hard on us. Iron hand link marines meme was born: these were the ones who hadn't sold the ATH. Still not sure if the ranking system was just some autist trying to justify holding, or smt deeper. It could also be:
1. A way to estimate how many LINK /biz/ held;
2. A way to stop even bigger sellouts;
Ex-linklets started a massive fud campaign, provoking the weak handed to sell. Toilet memes were at their prime. WE ARE NOT FUCKING SELLING! was all over the place.
That is the time when /biz/ became ambivalent on LINK.

After a massive SIBOS fail ppl didnt expect much from Devcon in November. This time there was video, but the presentation was so technical brainlets could not understand a thing. Still all linkies jizzed their pants. After all, Sergey directly mentioned Chainlink in this one, while previously he always avoided that. He would occasionally direct viewers to the smartcontracts.com That made many ppl furious, cos while LINK slowly desccended into oblivion every other coin management was making sure to shill the fuck out of their projects.

But Sergey was also ridiculed, cos he had synthetic trousers, trainers and the same plaid shirt he wore in public a month ago. /biz/ has always suspected him to be an autist, but this time he crossed the line and became /ourguy/. He also gained a lot of weight (Big Mac memes originate here), so no wonder that sfter Devcon toilets faded away and Money Belly meme prevailed. There was a small pump on Devcon, but nobody barely noticed it.
Along with this CryptoTakeoff publications were giving us hope. That was a medium blogger that made regular updates on LINK TA, wallet distribution and news. But then she (yep) sold LINK and /biz/ lost interest in this blog.

More and more fud appeared in December. SF nail salon office, $32m of burgers, Binance running out of funds. Some more technical fud appeared, Jason Parser was the top of an iceberg. Here nad there you could see larpers and just anons point out inconsistencies in CL code, critique that it was written in Ruby, then critique that swapping for golang midway shows how unprofessional the team was etc...
It was a hard time to hold.
Only the most paranoid ppl, that were afraid that Singularity would happen as soon as they sold, kept holding.
Anons discovered Linkpool and it gave us hope, as finally smb trusted in LINK enough to build its spinoff. Also, thodges joined CL team and the 2 man team meme now was even more obsolete, but strangely, it persisted even now, when CL has 5 ppl officially emloyed, uses advisors and has a shitload of forks and commits from the community.

Then AB appeared. His predictions became popular only during this whole market collapse, cos he was predicting exactly that. He was also predicting double-triple digit LINK, which made many ppl think that he some kind of kind-hearted insider. But then he disappeared. Some think he got afraid of getting doxed, some say it was a larper, some believe it was Sergey himself trying to give us hope. Actually, many larpers have emerged bout this time. All them trying to give some insider info.
After NY mud and pedal optimistic meme appeared. But LINK did what it does best and ceashed once again.
Link holders enterd limbo. Plus Mobius fud appeared, and the promised CL status update from Sergey was a disappointment, and to see any progress you had to go directly go to github and see if anything happened. The promised golang rewrite of the original wss taking longer than usual. We expected it to come eoy 2017, but it arrived only in March 2018.

There was a major pump in February before Superconference, that made many nolinkers scratch off their faces, as by then many alts were way below their respective ATHs in December. But once again, LINK being LINK crashed down to where it belonged. It went from 25c to 80c than back to 25c all in one month or so.

Generally March and April were rather optimistic for LINK. It held strong through the market justing (you can't lose worth much after being dumped x1/4, can you?), LinkPool was giving updates on progress, community started paying more attention to github activity, all the "competitors" turned out to be significantly inferior, here and there big wigs announced how much they like blockchain and that they'd like to use it some day. All this gave linklets hope. Holding link almost lost its stigma, as not only all alts, but top10 ant BTC holders went completely btfo by the bear. LINK turned into yet another alt. At some point in April /biz/ went extremely slow and there could be zero link threads in catalog, whereas before that they were popping almost every hour.

Has it ever occured to you that Sergey indeed is a crook and wanted to exit scam, but at some point he discovered that 4chan developed a cult around him. Then he seriously considered his options. Either he exit scams and becomes the revenge target of severely autistic ppl, capable of pinpointing a photo location by chemtrails in the sky only. (As, umlike Joost, he made the mistake of showing his face and disclosing his true name). Or he has to play the role to the end and deliver the product. CL has always been a joke, and somehow this brilliant con artist has managed to create an illusion of industrial endorsement. So apparently a guy in the private LINK slack accidentally shared a file in #general which was supposed to be shared in #legal. Seemed like a lawyer or so, didn't catch his username. I opened it and it turned out to be a NDA for Tesla R&D department regarding a strategic partnership for Oracle software for their factory supply chain software in Tilburg, the Netherlands which they are testing to be blockchain based. Couldn't read all of it because he quickly deleted his file thereafter and because Slack uses an internal file viewer, the resource became inaccessible and I got an error. Wasn't the only one who saw it and tried to discuss it but quickly our messages were deleted. Probably because it's sensitive stuff.

Take this with a grain of salt, might be someone fucking around with us in the private Slack. But with the right amount of skepticism it might imply something.

And what the fuck do we have? Still no medium updates. No marketing director as promised. All of the Assblaster posts have been proven LARPs. None of the secret developments all of these Sherlock holmes autists post about have come to fruition. Not one.

Woo we get ropsten next month. You just know there will be bugs and all sorts of complications. And what about adoption? No word from SWIFT. No word from anybody. maybe JNT will LOOK at it. You may not know this, but Sergey is actually a pretty decent golfer. I remember last year attending an event at the American Cup. I was part of his crew at the range and let me tell you, we were in Awe when he whacked a ball 572 yards. It was incredible.

It will take at least a few years for the mainnet to mature and work out the bugs. You will all have nothing to look forward to but an empty network and a slow trickle of fixes coming in for the bug bounty period. 99% of you have no experience or insight into software development, much less the ins and outs of development in the Blockchain space. Most of you couldn't explain in simple terms what a Blockchain is, what bitcoin is, what ethereum is, or what an "immutable decentralized network" is(tip, it doesn't exist as of this writing).

You are invested in technology you don't understand, holding out for a mathematically impossible return on that investment, and your primary source of information is anons with giant bags who are going to dump on you for their own amusement. $1.50 EOY is a bullish prediction. $10-$20 per link by 2021 is a bullish prediction. You will deserve the fate you are dealt if you continue to steep in these deep delusions.

NoLinkers are a joke. Their understanding of finance is at best warped, but likely closer to 'perverted.' They have demonstrated throughout these past months a limited grasp of what Chainlink is or what it seeks to do, and multiple assertions in their fud threads have been disproven with the most basic, cursory, surface-level research. But the specifics don't annoy me so much as Nolinker’s basic mindset.

Nolinkers have an arbitrary set of critera with which they seem to be evaluating projects, but it does not involve fundamental analysis or technical analysis. Nolinkers are evaluating based on "community support" by looking at twitter followers, and have a standard of professionalism based on... the website? How frequently the CEO makes 'announcements'?

While Nolinkers intelligence is worthless in that it is deeply misguided and not even particularly useful for what it seems to want to do (measure community involvement and the professionalism of the team), I wonder if they could become part of an indicator. I'll look at some of their shills and mull it over....
