I understand this to mean many eosio blockchains running in parallel using a set of block producers with the one native eos token being used ubiquitously. So really there are no real world data too be obtained because it's all just transactions on eosio software with the block producers in common. Obviously all transactions can be independently verified. Let me find a link...

By the way, I think the main purpose for implementing interblockchain communication (IBC) is to allow ultimate scalability, making unlimited transaction rates feasible. There are other advantages too though.
