because while other coins may be great and may be better short term investments, if chainlink succeeds it will actually represent a paradigm shift for the entire blockchain space. dApps have remained pretty simple up until now because there's no trusted way to connect them to the outside world. if chainlink becomes adopted, it'll be the primary conduit for all data in and out of the blockchain for the foreseeable future.

that's why we're fanatics and ignore/post the FUD. if you've been in the space long enough and have watched it go from bitcoin -> clones -> novelty coins and competing algorithms -> platform chains/smart contracts -> now, you know where the industry is headed, and its headed for chainlink.
