a lot of the prop planes dont cost too terribly much. my pops has an old cessna from the 70s that he picked up a couple decades ago. fixed it up and it runs like a dream. the thing that you dont realize with those old prop planes is that they burn oil as fast as they do gas. so while the gas isnt too terribly bad (especially not since flying in a straight line, if youre going somewhere far, actually saves you a good amount of time/distance).

That's 100 octane racing fuel, our "premium" gasoline is like 91-93 octane here in burgerland. Fuel pumps at places like race tracks, airports, and marinas are all ridiculously expensive just for the convenience of being able to fill up right there instead of taking your race car, boat, or small plane somewhere else to fill up or using gas cans.

I took my boat out on the lake a couple of weeks ago and parked it in a marina slip to eat lunch there. Just out of curiosity I looked at the marina's pump prices and that shit was about 2.5x more expensive than the gas I'd bought at the gas station on my way to the lake.
