imagine having dozens of them in a warehouse and picking stuff around for you without complaints, holidays, sick days, weekends etc.. Best invention ever imo

It's not. You obviously dont know how business or the economy works, u autistic neet.
I feel generous today, so i will give you some insight on why, even when the technology is there, we can still be years if not decades away from total automation. First of all for automation to be mass adopted by companies you have to include the short term costs and long term costs. If both are no on par a company will not embrace automation. If its cheaper for a company to hire a chimp for doing the work and pay 2$/hr (adjusted for inflation) instead of paying 300k$ for an unreliable robot. Now that i have gave you some common sense, GTFO my board

But they're double stacked! How do they take the top one off?

Checkmate robots!!

thinking these cost anywhere near $300k

Your argument doesn't stand. That forklift robot looks cheaper than a forklift vehicle and the $20/hr driver required for it.

Sorry, guys, you're going to be replaced.

Buddy, how deluded are you? The second the warehouse gets an order of these, your job is gone.

Replaced with a better job coordinating the robots. Not the same person on the floor.
That's progress, don't get stuck behind it.

>looks cheaper
since were guessing.
it looks cheap cause it can prob only lift empty boxes, and if conditions arent completely perfect will start tipping everything over.

Well fuck. There goes my fallback job if I were ever in desperate need of one.

I am a warehouse resource planner and also do some procurement. The times our pickers have fucked up our orders are countless and the costs this implies.
Humans are incompetent and especially the people who work at a warehouse picking stuff around.
I would rather have 1 of these robots instead of 10 useless piece of shits that sit all day at the office scratching their nuts and refusing to book parts in for a week.

Just imagine releasing a work order to the WH or a pick slip and have it ready waiting on the door for pickup within minutes...

Good for small items and spares but wouldn't see it working with heavy large parts
