I immediately starting thinking of places and things I could lay down bets on him winning and started monitoring the London betting markets on election night outcome odds. During his campaign the 2 things that i kept hearing over and over were 1) Rebuild the US infrastructure 2) Gonna build a wall, and Mexico is gonna pay for it. So I started looking at the steel markets, mainly US steel its one of american oldest companies and had been suffering under the pressure of China dumping cheap steel for a decade almost driving them out of business. I also started to closely monitor the USD/MXN cross (if Mexico was gonna "pay for the wall" that money had to come from somewhere and $20 billion is no small number). Currency traders (not your "learn to trade forex bullshit online but real institutional fx traders) are arguably the most sophisticated traders of all asset classes, if there was any truth to him winning it would show up in the currency markets first so i began watching to see what clues they gave me. If there was any real chance of him winning the value of the peso against the dollar would depreciate out of fear that Mexico's central bank would have to print $20b to cover the cost of the wall, which would devalue every peso already in existence, causing weakness against the dollar.
Fast forward to late summer heading into fall. My thesis was done. While i watched the USD/MXN cross religiously (it did what I thought and started to loose value against the dollar) US steel became my pure play. Trump would unequivocally win and US steel was gonna give me the most alpha on the back end. There were only a select few people I could talk about this to without them writing me off and a total lunatic as 90% of the country at this point was completely brainwashed. Even the majority of people that wanted him to win.....deep down they didnt really think it was possible due to the complete and total corruption of the US govt and its media.

The last few months leading up the election night, I must admit, there were times where the programming coming from all sides was so strong that even I began to doubt my bets and my thesis. That doubt led me on a never-ending search for anything that could help reinforce and validate my original thoughts. That search inevitably led me to 4chan and /pol/. This was my first time here and it took time getting used to the lay of the land but right away I stared noticing odd little things. The dubs/trips/quads. The incessant/autistic way in which a group of connected but unconnected people seemed to all wrap around this unwavering viewpoint that he would win. Whatever it was that I saw and read over a couple month period leading up to election night, it rebuilt up my confidence that he would win and on the day of election night, I yolo'd it with a 188k bet on US Steel weekly calls that expired in 2 days. It was an all or nothing bet. My bed was made, now all I had to do was wait 10-12 hours to know the outcome.
I stayed up drinking the finest whiskey I had in the house. Hours turned to minutes and then it started too happen. He turned 2 key swing states, then 2 more. Fuck me, he did it. I couldn't believe it actually happened. Watching the tv announcers smiles turn to tears was perhaps the greatest thing I had seen in my life. Seeing clips of Clinton supporters cry as their fictional reality bubble popped and they had to face their harsh new reality is something ill never forget. I didn't sleep at all that night as I was too excited for US markets to open to know how big of a boost US steel got on his election. Turns out it got a bigger boost I thought it would. 9:30am came and markets opened. US steel up something like 20% and my options crushed. I held until about midpoint in the day and finally sold. I couldn't believe it. It was the most I had made at once before. 188k turned into just shy of 2m overnight. Felt good man, felt fucking good.

If your still reading this, your probably asking wtf does this have to do with chainLink?? A lot. Stay with me, gonna try and finish the rest up rather quickly.
The search to validate my trump bets led me to 4chan. 4chan I noticed something that I had never seen before. The power of this unconnected but connected group of people. It was this hive mind of intelligence feeding off one another. Over the course of the next year I saw similar things come out of this place. I saw the repeated takedown of Shai and HWND. I saw you crazy autistic motherfuckers build a facial recognition software to correctly identify the antifa bike lock professor which lead to his eventual arrest. I learned that when the swarm hive mind of this place is onto something that they for the life of them cannot let go....to pay the fuck attention. Enter chainLink.
Someone sent me the AB threads in late Decemeber. I was hooked. I have no clue whether he is real or not. Part of me hopes he is not b/c of his price predictions, but b/c it would be the most crypto thing ever. Some neet got in close and started sharing his insights and info to a bunch of you idiots with the goal of trying to help them out in life. Take a bit of power and wealth away from the old guard and put into the hand of the up and coming generation. So I started watching and monitoring the threads. They didn't stop. They couldn't stop. Week after week month after month the threads kept coming. It didn't matter to me the content of what people wrote about in relation to chainLink, the fact that the threads kept coming and coming told me everything I needed to know. I had seen this before. This was Trump election. This was Shai. This was antifa bike lock professor. This hive mind had switched gears and was for one reason or another unable to not focus on this random bland and boring coin chainLink.

I started buying. A few weeks went by and bought some more. Another couple weeks went by, my bags got even heavier to the point where I'm basically rolling my trump bet proceeds into Link. I'm going down this road for better or worse and now all I have to do is wait for time to take care of the rest I told myself.
A couple days ago out of the blue I got a call from a very well connected person I know. Someone who in a millions years would never be caught dead on this place. He asked me if I had ever heard of chainlink. WTF I thought, why is this person asking me about link?
