here's the answer: its a good project but it needs demand from smart contract platform users and that demand can't come until it is fully released. The problem it solves is not yet understood by the average cryptoinvestor (most are pretty much retarded), so that limits the hype it is receiving. It will moon but not any time soon.

Oh, it totally could. The problem is, the thing that will determine that adoption. Link could stay at <$5 for the next 1-3 years and then skyrocket to $200+ in 6 months. I just like using $100 EOY 2020 because I think the next major bull run will be in 2020, and Link will have some serious roots by then
