They meme about the blockchain so much at work like it's some kind of fucking design pattern or tool that you can just slip into a project like a database -- and IT'S NOT.
As for the politics thing, the worst they can do is force merchants to refuse accepting it as legal tender.
However, the whole thing is supported by the darknet markets, where it started. Because of that, it will NEVER go away.
If the banks all got together and made their own, everybody would simply not use it.
Why would they?
The banks would only do this so that they can inflate the currency on a whim just like Fiat currency -- why would anybody hold that shit?
Thus, a cryptocurrency controlled by banks would never catch on, and legitimate cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin will always remain due to support by the darknet markets.

It was incredible pay for up there, look up machias, maine. Only place to work. But scale that to the local economy and it was like making about 80k down here in shithole mass. I actually was the admin of the enjin site for the big "Tumblr war" if you remember that a few years back.
A few of my users actually started trying to do some hack-y stuff involving phishing in order to hijack Tumblr users' session cookies. Fun shit. I kept a little distance from them as that went down.
I think the enjin site got like 50k views in a single weekend.

I highly recommend $DNR as a previous CERU nigga but I would watch candlesticks and buy in at whatever drop you feel is appropriate. If you just wanna passively long I would split some $DNR, $USO, $GE (a risk, but one I believe in). I would suggest more but it would be with a low confidence level.
