Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

My best tricks are to always check the 1 year and 5 year charts, check P/E ratio, check EPS history, and market cap for their room to grow. I go for the fastest growing on the 1 year chart and annualized on the 5 year chart and hold for months.
I have a background in CS and go for companies that have solid monetization plans if the EPS and P/E ratio don't look good.
My favorites are SHOP and SQ

>I always sell everything for SPXL
That's basically what I did.

So I bought longer term options and dumped in extra funds from the bank as pseudo-leverage.

Sand is used in concrete, which China uses a fuck ton of for those ghost cities that they won't stop building.
Chinks are absolutely decimating their river banks for sand.

Same.
There's alternatives to oil. Everyone has been watching that. I'm even more worried about fucking OPEC than peak oil. Plus, we got fucking Elon Musk and (((GREEN ENERGY))) to help.
Peak sand is the sneaky shit that nobody's watching nor cares about.
So, it's going to keep discretely rising in price as supply contracts with hardly a soul paying attention -- as opposed to oil, which is actively manipulated by every large government that understands the advantage of weaning their citizens off of it.
>peak helium
I've actually never heard that one before.

>>9344212
I don't think so. I believe concrete requires a very particular type of sand, and that you can't turn rocks into sand in a highly efficient manner.
There's actually some chemistry specifics to the molecular structure of concrete/cement IIRC.
I bet Wikipedia or just googling peak sand will have some pretty solid info.

I mean you could search the archives but it would just make you sad to see how this board has degraded over the last couple years. Some guys made a shitload of money ferox trading during the Brexit vote. That was a fun day to be on /biz/. Sometimes I feel lame for lurking and hanging around this site so much, but I dont have many IRL friends who care about the market. I've had some great days hanging on /biz/ getting drunk and throwing my paychecks at the market. I'm embarrassed to admit that after two years of on and off trading I'm just now starting to learn about and think about trading options. But if it wasn't for /biz/ I'd have never considered it. If these autist brainlets can pull it off, so can I lol. This crypto thing is gonna implode soon enough. Either the banks will make their own or politics will get involved and a handful of countries will make a hush hush agreement to all back the same one at the same time. Whatever happens, eventually, one crypto will reign all and then this board can go back to normal (hopefully)

I'm not so sure about that. It's appealing in that it's easier to do international trades with, use for buying drugs, and it isn't inflated on a whim by any central bankers.
>Either the banks will make their own or politics will get involved and a handful of countries will make a hush hush agreement to all back the same one at the same time
I'm actually a software engineer at a major bank.
They meme about the blockchain so much at work like it's some kind of fucking design pattern or tool that you can just slip into a project like a database -- and IT'S NOT.
As for the politics thing, the worst they can do is force merchants to refuse accepting it as legal tender.
However, the whole thing is supported by the darknet markets, where it started. Because of that, it will NEVER go away.
If the banks all got together and made their own, everybody would simply not use it.
Why would they?
The banks would only do this so that they can inflate the currency on a whim just like Fiat currency -- why would anybody hold that shit?
Thus, a cryptocurrency controlled by banks would never catch on, and legitimate cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin will always remain due to support by the darknet markets.

No. It's even better than that.
The people at the bank I work at don't even really think about making a cryptocurrency as a means of retaining control over money -- they think the blockchain is a revolutionary thing, and that simply learning about it and making lots of stupid meme projects with it is somehow what will keep us ahead of the curve.
>Basically:
>"No, no, Bitcoin isn't the threat to corporate mega-banks... It's the (((BLOCKCHAIN)))!!! And we all need to learn how it works and incorporate it into our Enterprise software or else bad things will happen."

I feel like the screencaps give a misleading sense of nostalgia. That they paint a rosier view of this site than how the screencapped events actually felt.
I feel like the super successful habbo raids from around 07 were a huge fucking headache. I've been in some of the few habbo raids to occur over the last 4 or 5 years, and swastigets aren't as fun to organize as they are to look at in a screencap.

Houses seem a tad over-rated.
One of the managers that I work with was very persistent about the fact that they are a depreciating asset.
You have to take care of that shit -- mow your lawn and what not.
It's more illiquid. You can't get up and just move as easily.
It doesn't seem like it has an ROI even close to that of stocks.
I actually have a co-worker that lives in an apartment, but leases out a house that he owns in some shitty suburb of Detroit or Ann Arbor.

That's the same issue with mostly dead games on /vg/ threads.
It turns into a group of people that have a common interest, but not much to say about it.
A big motivating factor is being around like minded people.

I love going through the culture of close-knit other internet groups.
Every general thread on /vg/ has its own batch of R A R E maymays.
Smaller chans are like alien cultures. So much fascinating shit.

>it sure does make me dive deep into companies filings
I don't think I've ever read any of the SEC filings for any investment that I make. Kek.
I'll only touch fortune 500 companies, high-volume well-known ETFs, and maybe some smaller things as long as I trust their monetization plan and they have a decent cap size and growth history.

i like to mainly play under 300mil market cap.. actually mostly under 50mil in OTCmarkets.. it's important to read filings and it makes the trading a little more personal and interesting.. different stroke for different folks i guess

>/baphomet/?
theres some crossover i believe
i think i ran into them on a star trek board or /sagan/ or somethin tho desu. i dont have any real reason to lurk /baph/. i like to give those guys a wide berth so they can do what they do. theyre incredible. the best of the best. the IC WISHES they had them. (i have absolutely no idea where they are now, but i know theyre out there watching, literally saving the fucking world)

but lulzsec was the group guys in the IRC running all the old raids and ops back then. they were very good at what they did, and some of them started to push themselves to accomplish crazier and crazier shit, until they caught they eye of the wrong people (ie the fucking feds). i never asked specifics. they were heavily subverted, a few went to prison for a long time, so the rest are understandably cautious.

this is what happens to all fringe groups of intelligent people that hold non-conformist views. they are hunted like animals. its a fucking clown world we live in

I actually was the admin of the enjin site for the big "Tumblr war" if you remember that a few years back.
A few of my users actually started trying to do some hack-y stuff involving phishing in order to hijack Tumblr users' session cookies. Fun shit. I kept a little distance from them as that went down.
I think the enjin site got like 50k views in a single weekend.
We tried flooding it with gore to scare the normies off. Kek.
>they were heavily subverted, a few went to prison for a long time
Oooohh. That's what you mean by subverted. V&.

I am not an expert and I dont claim to be and I assume you boys would assume that because this is 4chan but I do appreciate your insight. I still think that within the next 3 years crypto has a high chance of standardization under some regime or another.based on nothing other than some random anons world view and speculations

I highly recommend $DNR as a previous CERU nigga but I would watch candlesticks and buy in at whatever drop you feel is appropriate. If you just wanna passively long I would split some $DNR, $USO, $GE (a risk, but one I believe in). I would suggest more but it would be with a low confidence level. These stocks I would happily diversify on
