Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers
>$1 commission per 100 shares. $10k minimum to open, $3k if 25 or under. Lowest margin interest. Free API access

safe investing $10,000
what is conservative anual rate of return on investment?

moron anon from >>/g/ and >>/o/

I hard interesting argument about leasing cars
but I would like some ballpark numbers

>so why lease a luxury car instead of buying
because you have $50,000 to buy a car
but you can instead lease it for monthly installments and invest $40,000 that will bring you some part of that monthly payment back.

I am not really rich, or dable in to investment, but would want to know what amount of money that $40k can bring annually as offset to leasing?

I don't know why people here are debating the merits of the Iran deal. Are you in the White House? Are you actually John Bolton, shitposting on /biz/ from work? No, you are not. It doesn't matter if you think it's good or bad. Your opinion doesn't control anything. It's not about you, you aren't in charge, democracy is a sham and even if it wasn't, you only have one share and the next shareholder meeting isn't for a while.

What matters is, will the deal get broken, and if so, what do you buy to profit on this? Or, if it stays, how likely is that and what do you buy to make money there?

actually yes, at their military bases too, everywhere in iran.
this was not just part of regular IAEA
but its 30 days notice before they are allowed on sites

but enriching on level needed for weapons is not something you just pack up in two weeks and there are no traces
you dont just deploy 5000 centrifuges and pack it and no one knows

read the article

>the 2015 deal it signed with the United States and five other world powers allows inspectors to gain limited access to any site where illicit nuclear activity is suspected.

>Inspectors with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations organization tasked with monitoring Iran's nuclear facilities, have not requested access to military sites since the agreement went into effect, according to experts monitoring the process.

the deal allows inspections everywhere thats a fact and thats why its a good deal

if IAEA suspects illegal activity they can request access and its up to iran to deny or comply

so far they are complying, iranians in article talking about national pride can go pound sand just as israeli or american politicians

Yea it’s market timing. We don’t know when the market will tank, anon. Maybe you’re right and the market tanks and bonds lose less value, but maybe it won’t for another year or two+ and you end up losing out. Or maybe you DO successfully market time but when push comes to shove you’re skittered by the massive bear market news that you don’t actually shift back from bonds to stocks.

I’d just stay the course with your 401k. It’s proven so many times to be better on average than trying to market time.

I believe they own NBA rights, and the NBA is exploding in popularity — will continue to do so with the rise of concussion-related injuries surfacing in the NFL.

Then that’s not to mention Disney expanding into China, etc. They have at least 3 additional cruise ships that are in the works and will be operational and added to their fleet. Overall, they’re expanding very nicely.

i don't think most people in this thread know how to pump a stock. Sure they can go around and spam to buy the stock everywhere but as for the controlling of the stock and the buying and selling, nobody here has a clue of what to do.

Just find a stock in the trips (.0001-.0009) with no volume, find out their share structure and have at it.

narrow your search. specify mortgages or corporate/govt land. or farmland etc

then just look for ones that are actually traded on and check to see if their divs look sustainable. you dont wanna get into ones where they slash the div on you. everyone jumps at once

you gotta shuffle it up and down between you and few people, once you gain control you can slap the ask in a way and dump onto the bid which is your buddies.. think about it... but if they are diluting and you don't have control of it you could be fucked.. you would have to bring the stock way up and wait for bids then you would have to dump them into liquidity.. i know a couple stocks in the trips (.0001-.0009) where i know forsure the management nor financers are doing anything with the stock but i won't ever speak of those itt i don't trade them either just because i know things that would be frowned upon if i traded them

This helps me at least hone in on which specific style I'm aiming at to fit within my portfolio. My strat right now is focusing on data center REIT's, I figure with mobile growing, cloud computing, streaming, etc. It make sense that is where there seems to be good expansion potential.

it's not cool when you end up in jail. When you learn how to do it, the best bet is to try and follow it and not actually be part of it. it happens alot in OTCmarkets and then your stock ends up getting caveat emptor then you're holding a stock that you can't get out of because it's halted for months

just watch your level 2 and order flow on penny stocks and over time you will see what's going on with most of them. Thinly traded stocks are the best way to learn the sizing of your positions imo.. thats why i am completely disagree with paper trading, stocks don't work in a way where it's just some price and thats that. there has to be a buyer and seller for the stock to get a market going. when the bid and ask get wider apart (the spread) volatility will pick up. if the stock is at $1 and the bid is at $1 but the ask is at $1.20 and you hit that ask the price goes to $1.20 then bids come to $1.03 or some shit and someone dumps on $1.03 now the price is at $1.03 hit that $1.20 ask again and the bids may come up to 1.05 and if you hit up the ask all the way up to $1.50...... you get the point....

be careful of the REITs you trade.. same with any ETN or fixed income bond ETFs

Lets say you are "investing" in a REIT that deals with residential mortgages.. i think by law a REIT has to pay out 90% of its taxable income to shareholders in the form of dividends.. if those mortgages get paid off that REIT loses assets on it's balance sheet.. those mortgages pay out the divi, if everyone paid off their mortgage at once, then that REIT no longer has any income.. its the same with a bond if the bond matures and you are invested in a fixed income etf that deals with bonds, those bonds eventually mature and whoever is in control of all this needs to stay on top of reinvesting or else their business will go to shit... which means so does your dividend.. if that makes sense...

That's true, I kind of want to stick in that space come hell or high water though but only with certain REIT's that have some staying power, like maybe something like hospital/healthcare REIT. The necessity of their function make it easier to hold though any patchy weather.

level 2 won't do much for trading SPY desu most stocks trading on any exchange bigger than AMEX the level 2 is manipulated. If you are looking for buys and sells though and don't have that kind of info.. follow these steps..

Go to otcmarkets.com then from there type in your ticker. go down right below the chart and click the 1d then after you click that.. go to the top right of the chart where it says data table.. click that.. there you go.. you have buys and sells and size of them....

kek yeah as of right now the ones i got look to be bullish all with expected div hikes from all the news. im keeping an eye on em for sure. also figure i could hedge realty exposure with puts on VSQ and covered calls on the stocks.

i have a depth chart in my platform, but i dont really know enough about that stuff to make any use of it. i hold a month or two (or a quarter or more in the divs case) on most of my stuff and most of my swings are done with options, so ive never really dug into using the depth charts to trade from
