Everyone keeps posting about how great it is to raise shrimp, but why doesn't anyone see the value in raising wasps? It'd be so easy to corner your local market no matter where you live because even bee keepers pussy out when it comes to wasps.

In all seriousness, beekeeping is the go. Honey last indefinitely, and hence a good store of value, and unlike any other currency (excluding shrimp) can be eaten if needed. Also a decent antihistamine and/or antibiotic in a pinch.
