When will this dinosaur shitcoin finally die?

>> No.9283040

protip: it never will

I'm Roger Ver, long time Bitcoin advocate and investor. Today I'm at the Mt. Gox World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. I had a nice chat with Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles about their current situation. He showed me multiple bank statements, as well as letters from banks and lawyers. I am sure that all the current withdrawal problems at Mt. Gox are being caused by the traditional banking system, not because of a lack of liquidity at Mt. Gox.

The traditional banking partners that Mt. Gox needs to work with are not able to keep up with the demands of the growing Bitcoin economy. The dozens of people who make up the Mt. Gox team are hard at work establishing additional banking partners that eventually will make dealing with Mt. Gox easier for all their customers around the world. For now, I hope everyone will continue working on Bitcoin projects that will help make the world a better place.

You cashies are 100% delusional if you think that people (read: normies, mainstream money, institutional money, whales. You know, the people who actually keep the market afloat while you idiots trade your lunch money) will just switch over to something else with a Bitcoin name if Bitcoin were to fail. There is no way that that would happen, at least not for the next 5-10 years. I love how you cashies co-opted the Bitcoin name so that you could ride the coattails of its success, yet you somehow think you would be immune from the reverse if Bitcoin were to fail. Cashies truly are brainlets

The real answer is that *IF* Bitcoin were to fail, it would take the whole crypto market down with it, and it would take at least a decade to recover.

You can greentext and image macro all you want, but to suggest otherwise is to simply ignore the reality of the present market.

BTC's market dominance has been well-documented. I'm not saying it's necessarily a good thing. I'm not even saying that it will always have the sort of dominance that is currently has, but now, in 2018, you are either ignorant or fooling yourself if you think the market doesn't currently depend on Bitcoin.

BTC dominance is down from 80% to 40% in a little over a year. Sure the market is pegged to BTC at the moment, but If Bitcoin was to fail it would be a fairly slow death, as we are seeing now, and certified shitcoins will be hit the hardest. Coins like Ethereum, Monero, Ripple and dare I say BCH are more than capable of recovering and thriving without BTC.

>> No.9285411

just imagine being so cucked that you've been tricked into buying a chink clone of bitcoin for the sole purpose of miner profit, when every early adopter got airdropped that same exact coin for free.

>> No.9286041

BTC is like the annoying Orange on Youtube.

It's a shit tier product, but it's one of the first successful implementations of said products. Being that it's the first, it has the charm of the masses behind it.

Normies barely understand how crypto works in the first place. They only care about it because of the money involved.

Do you have any idea how hard it will be to convince non-technical people to move into another coin?

Sure you have your "IM AN INVESTOR REE" tier people that buy into every shitcoin because they think it'll make money, but you have to convince powerful business entities (read "old people") that this emerging tech is worth a shot.

Bitcoin will continue to improve, at a slower rate than every other coin, but will continue to hold the market.
