Read this and tell me if you still think $250mm is too high of an evaluation for HOT.

>Solves scalability completely

Whats the fastest/cheapest way to get .2 eth of value to IDEX from yobit so I can buy Holo?

>> No.9235176

>>9235153
Withdrawal from yobit to personal ETH wallet.
Connect via ledger/metamask to your ETH wallet on IDEX.
Press the buy button until your order goes through.

>> No.9235207

What problem does it solve btw?

This is an ideological approach, it doesn't solve anything.
>Devs have already created decentralized Twitter and Slack clones
And then what? Insert token to send a message? Is there even proof this exists and if yes, why are you holding a worthless ERC20 token?

Can't be solved by blockchain. You can copy anything. End of story.

>centralization
Not necessarily a problem for instant messengers and can be solved without blockchain.

> scalability
See above, twitter and slack don't have scaling problems.

Ah you tech illiterate people are so funny.

Good thing Holo isn't a blockchain then. It's crypto/hash based but not a blockchain.
+ Blockchain has scaling problems, so Holochain is actually solving problems in both worlds.

Again, if you actually want to FUD a project efficiently, try to educate yourself by reading the whitepapers or at least youtube vids, but then again if you did you wouldn't be FUDing so..

I read the whitepaper and the website, it's a stupid idea.

'Today our online movements are tracked, logged, analyzed, and sold...'

AND YET

'When you use apps on Holo, all your actions are cryptographically signed by you. This means anonymity is very hard to achieve with Holo'

Holo gives developers less control over their apps, and forces them to pay transaction fees to some boomer assholes. I just don't understand who will ever use it, can anyone give a single example of where this would improve anything?

But it's fucking stupid. They can't even come up with a use case themselves.

'Imagine a rideshare app run by the riders and drivers without a monopoly in the middle dictating terms.'

Why would anyone make this app, and who is going to handle regulation?

'help emergency responders coordinate with one another in the aftermath of a fire or hurricane, without needing to have a connection all the way back to some Silicon Valley data center. Unlike today's centralized applications, apps on Holo run just fine on a local network.'

They have radios, and what kind of local network would they even be running?

'Imagine a community of rural homeowners who generate, store, and share electricity'

I'm sure the hippy commune will write an app to sell to each other for pennies while paying transaction fees to a large company.

yes and even if you submit a trade and it says trading suspended maintenance, you can reload the page and try to resubmit it theres no double charge. Getting used to depositing into a quick balance is what trips everyone up ive been using this for 3 days it's a different pace then spamming binance trades or robin hood but this is an ethereum app and it is growing with the volume. First day of holo trading they went from 15 to 20 mil volume which has caused the problems but not a bad sign imo

Isn't this the double spending problem? If C doesn't know about A and B's transaction, then B could pull a fast one and double spend with A and C? Isn't that why the blockchain was created?

Naw, basically rather than a single chain fir all transactions, every agent runs it's own chain. Valid transactions can be verified using a bunch of cryptographic voodoo I can't be assed writing out here. But yeah, it solves the doublespending problem, if 2 or more people try to collaborate on an attack they basically fork themselves into a seperate space cut off from the rest of the playform. Go read the whitepaper and greenpaper - it's fucking insanely clever.
