Crash Day Edition

>where's the hedge fund?
A resident tripfag, obergruppenfuhrer (Comfy), requested that it be excluded until he gets the next version up and running. Will refund those involved. Stay tuned!

Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers
>$1 commission per 100 shares. $10k minimum to open, $3k if 25 or under. Lowest margin interest. Free API access
http://www.interactivebrokers.com

TD Ameritade
>$6.95 commission per trade. No minimum to open. Fantastic data/charting through their free ThinkorSwim service

USD is stuck. There are so many people short the dollar that its going to moon even harder when the squeeze comes.

I believe that this is what the administration wants so we can find an excuse to gold back our currency, give the big middle finger to China et.al., tarriff the shit out of them bagholding our debt and become completely self sufficient. USA literally needs no resources from China anymore. Especially after the "near infinite" mine of rare earths uncovered in Japan recently.

We will make anime real together.

Or, just post using the trip when it is relevant to. If the post isn't about said prediction, and you're talking about taking a shit nobody really needs to know who you are, just saying.

This current market is absolute trash. I'm seriously thinking about putting half of my portfolio in bonds/gold and using the other half to trade Bitcoin. You can't make money as a bull OR bear in these circumstances. I feel like the big money has already exited the market and rotated into other asset classes. this is a fast thread with a lot of unique IDs. were also playing a game where people coming on and dumping bags on suckers is the norm.

everyone seems to be caught up on tripping being some sort of ego trip (its not, its mostly endless, pointless shittalking). its so that we can pick out the friendlies among the masses for those that come on here daily.

It's a case by case basis. For instance, you can tell when you hit the MO-AK line because the road quality goes to complete shit in Arkansas, because Missouri has a well funded DoT. But most towns in Missouri have awful roads too, because towns don't generate enough revenue to fund road maintenance through all the crazy shit that happens with the weather around here.

If you just "threw money" at the problem, that money would be wasted for the most part. Plus when you say "american infrastructure" that is a pretty broad term, considering there is 6.5 million kilometers of roadway across the entire country.

Argie bills have huge interest rates (starting at 30%) due to inflation. Expected inflation is around 20% (and USD usually follows) so you get around 10% return.
Do note that, in comparison, local stocks were losing like 4% in USD and even more in real currency YTD, so bills is (almost) the last refuge here.

A Y Y

Picked up ten shares of $XOM on a discount today at about $75.50. Dividend record date is coming up here in less than two weeks, should net me a nice $8 dividend plus whatever the share price recovers to (I think $85 by midsummer).

premiums are too cheap. idk if you use a broker that costs commissions, but commissions on those options would cost more than the premium. go for a more expensive stock that you have 100 of, look for about a month out and remember youre short so you WANT the more expensive ones. just make sure the stock isnt too bullish unless you dont care about getting called away

You can just buy a single call.
I'd much rather buy one than multiple on the cheaps.
You're going to experience greater theta decay for that.

>It's paying off though
It's great if you're at a profitable return and ITM rn. That really takes the edge off.
I'd deleverage yourself at the next good opportunity.
I'm definitely being a hypocrite considering my FB calls, but I've realized that it's the fact that options have a deadline that makes them so distracting. You can't just HODL because you're fucked if it dips close enough to the expiration.
