probably unrelated but maybe someone can help me -
I bought a new tv (Samsung QE55Q7F)
I plugged in an HDMI cable between my computer and my tv and when trying to watch a 1080p video I downloaded via the TV I have noticeable lags, how come?

my computer is pretty strong as well, (16 gb RAM, gtx 970, etc)

thanks

>Samsung
shitcoin
Should have got LG, Sony or Panasonic
But seriously. Samsung tvs used to be good, but for the past few years they turned to shit.
Try another HDMI cable

What media player are you using on your PC? Use VLC if you're not, hardware acceleration should be on by default.

Maybe enable the auto motion output setting and digital clean view.

This. Just bought the q7f.. returning it tomorrow to buy LG c7.

I think the q9fn should be a good TV, but the 2017 gen just isnt't worth it imo.

everyone here is fucking retarded
you need to put your TV in "just scan" mode, might be called "PC mode"
right now it's doing a bunch of post-processing on the image; these modes will disable that shit
