>It is extraordinary to me that the idea of buying dollar bills for 40 cents takes immediately to people or it doesn’t take at all. It’s like an inoculation. If it doesn’t grab a person right away, I find that you can talk to him for years and show him records, and it doesn’t make any difference. They just don’t seem able to grasp the concept, simple as it is. A fellow like Vitalik Buterin, who had no formal education in business, understands immediately the value of the blockchain and he’s applying it five minutes later. I’ve never seen anyone who became a gradual convert over a ten-year period to this approach. It doesn’t seem to be a matter of IQ or academic training. It’s instant recognition, or it is nothing.

Roger gets the trips of truth.
He's right. You either get it or you don't. Some people are just cognitively not up to the task. Just like you cannot get a sub-Saharan nigger to understand Schopenhauer, you cannot get an economic illiterate to understand bitcoin. It either clicks or it doesn't and if it doesn't no amount of software upgrades is going to fix the problem.

It took me a few weeks of seriously trying to understand bitcoin for all of it to click. Once you get red-pilled it's a rabbit hole.

its a sect of dumb ass white people who are massive regressionists. they love to cling onto the past. im convinced some of these white cunts would still be riding horses and carriages if greater society allowed them to.

i think it's more, 'would the world crypto is ultimately going to bring us into be good for your interests'. there are people who would/will benefit, and there are people who will overall be standing in a worse position, would require more change to themselves than they can hope to attain.

if you're a winner it's easy to see the good stuff. if you're a loser, you'll focus on the bad ones.

the tech and its implications overall are just far-far too complex for any human mind to actually perfectly comprehend in its entirety

Why would one sell dollar bills for 40 cents?

Is that just a dumb metaphor for buying the money of the future for cheap?
