ETH has a decent chance of replacing the entire financial system and becoming the new world currency. People talk like it's just used for gas payments, but most of the non-speculative value at the moment is direct payments of ETH, because it's so much better than bitcoin. I saw that potential in ETH, which is why I bought it at $1. I do not see any potential in HOT, because it's just a platform for producing non-interoperable non-blockchain based permissioned cryptocurrencies. Buy shitcoins based on hype alone, and stay poor.

Not with the current scalability issues, transaction times and inability to make micropayments. Holochain is more likely to do this due to its flexibility but there will not be one currency not ETH or holo fuel, there will be multiple currencies designed with different attributes for different use cases (something holochain is better suited to than ETH) again talking about holochain not holo fuel.

Sounds pretty noninteroperable to me. One currency will clearly win over a fragmented system of thousands of currencies, and holochain will be stuck as thousands of currencies without one common currency to unify on, an the inherently scale-limiting permissioned DHT design.
