i know 4chan isn't a place to post these. but really need to talk to someone and this feels like rock bottom.

Basically i am... or was a eBay powerseller. with over 29,000 Feedback and over 100,000 sales.

They just messaged me "All your listings have been removed and you will no longer be able to sell on eBay" With no reason why.

i went from an income over $6,000 a month to an income of $0 in less then 10 minutes.

I'm seriously considering suicide as i have no college education, i put all my time and money into my eBay account, and it just started paying off a few years ago.

i've been with eBay FOR A LONG time.

ever since i graduated highschool i've been working on my account, buying from wholesellers and selling on eBay, i set up a customer support hotline for my customers and so much. it was an eBay empire.

and just like that, with no warning; and with no reason to why.

i was told to go fuck myself.

eBay plain out told me to go fuck myself.

here's a recording of the call: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvKwRUk2GZ0&feature=youtu.be

Do you not have a lawyer? If you didn't violate their TOS they have no reason to suspend your account, especially if you're earning 6 grand a month with it.

Calling them on the phone is going to do nothing, but a letter from a lawyer will get your account back up in no time.

>> No.916413

Stop acting like a spazz. While you can't really do anything over the phone if they're denying you, it's much more wise to use email correspondence to sort this. Either you will come to the bottom of it and your account will be restored, or nothing will change for you. The guy you spoke with clearly is a peon and probably can't do anything anyway; his job is to be a bitch on the phone and take shit from people like you who don't have much tact for dealing with when things go wrong. I imagine that people raging just walk away pissed (which is what your conduct sounds like) takes care of a lot of their problems. Instead, you could approach this in a more professional manner and pursue it until you're satisfied, whatever that might mean.

Obviously if they tell the lawyer to fuck off don't bother taking them to court, but 9 times out of 10 a written lawyer letter will make them reinstate you account unless OP was actually violating their rules.

If you want to have any chance at all (yet still slim) to get anything done from these phonerats you can't go all berserk on them. You didn't even use any arguments to prove that you indeed had an insane amount of positive feedback and over 100.000 sales.

Sucks to lose out on that amount of money but in the end, legally seen, they have no requirement to tell you why they banned you. The reason only needs to be seen as valid by ebay, which is fucked up but lega, and can thus essentially be anything except for discrimination reasons, in which case you can take legal steps.

I'm impartial to OP's issue, but I can offer an explanation for what eBay is doing here. I'm friends with somebody who works for eBay corporate. We actually had a discussion over this exact issue. Here's the gist:

Somehow, somewhere OP's account was flagged as "high risk". Having a high seller rating (100%, 99%, etc.) wasn't going to save him. What killed him was buyer feedback. There may have been disgruntled buyers who were unhappy with the shipping costs, shipping times, or may have had buyer's remorse.

Let me explain:
Have you ever placed feedback for a purchase? You would have seen a five star rating system for..
>Shipping cost
>Accurate description
>Shipping Speed
>Communication

It is the best interest for the seller to receive *at least* 4 stars on each criteria. Anything lower, and you've been flagged. If you've been flagged, you are considered to be *below standard*. With over 100,000 transactions, OP has most likely accrued many ratings below 4 stars. It's hard to be perfect. You can't make everybody happy. There will always be that *one* customer that will never be satisfied and will give a lukewarm, 3 star review. The seller is at the mercy of the buyer, and thus the seller must do everything in his power to give the best customer service. But like I said, it's hard to be perfect.

Pretty much everybody gets flagged at least a couple of times, and sub-standard transactions are not uncommon. It's not like eBay will end up suspending your account activity after getting flagged once, but your account will end up in a "matrix". An algorithm. And eBay will regularly yank out accounts from this algorithm for "quality control".

In other words, OP has won the lottery.

Ebay doesn't have to do business with anyone they don't want to. OP, you, or anyone else. They can legally tell you to fuck off for any reason, or for no reason at all. The only thing they can't do is discriminate against protected classes, and that only applies in jurisdictions (such as the US) with applicable laws.

Wrong. ebay doesn't have any legal duty to continue business with OP, you, or anyone else.

Furthermore, the fact that it was arbitrary is further evidence that it was perfectly legal. The only way ebay could have gotten in trouble is if they terminated the relationship for a non-arbitrary reason.

>Now tell me one reason OP shouldn't spread the news around anywhere he can so that every other seller knows that eBay likes to end partnerships with its sellers.
Because its not how adults handle business matters. OP clearly wishes he could resume selling on ebay. And yet instead of pursing available channels to mediate a mutually successful resolution, he instead whines and cries all over social media. Not only is it childish, but its all but guaranteed to seal OP's fate.

Hence my comment about the stupidity of your generation. Your first reaction to perceived "grievances" is to complain about them on the internet. This makes you look like whining babies to those of us who were raised to act like adults and solve our problems like adults.

So I thought I saw a pattern in posting cycles about oil and made some bets and they turned out good for us. Most recently was the October 1 through 5 time frame during the Chinese weeklong holiday. About 3 days prior to October 1, biz produced a lot of posts about oil prices. More so than in the prior 3 weeks. We made a big bet that oil price volatility would spike, it did, and we benefitted. If it doesn't go well or you feel like you need help, find and ask someone who can help you like an experienced friend or lawyer if you can afford it.

The guy on the phone is just some guy listening to you whine. It doesn't sound like he was going to help you. Ring them back until you get someone who knows what is going on. Email them. You need to calm down and go about this professionally. Getting upset about it won't help you. You will just make it worse. >b-but regulations
Those are made by people who are supposed to be regulated. If you don't see that then you're either naive or stupid.
Legal remedies work only if you're big (and OP isn't), or if you were wronged on a level that would make Stalin go "man, that's not cool"
>no it's not
Really? Show me an international auction site like this that's not a literal who

Wow, are you Millennials actually this dumb? Google "School House Rock I'm Just a Bill" because I'm not sure you're ready for adult explanations.

>Legal remedies work only if you're big (and OP isn't), or if you were wronged on a level that would make Stalin go "man, that's not cool"
Kek. The modern class action system makes it trivial (and lucrative) to pursue legal claims like this ... if there were a legal violation here. If what OP claims happened was illegal, then some contingency lawyer would have filed a class action suit immediately.

Moron.

If only you knew how stupid this comment actually is. But I don't feel like opening that can of worms right now. This thread is about how shitty Millennials are, not about me.

it might be legal for me to fuck your mom and woman (assuming you have one) in all holes, upload the video online with their consent and show it to everyone you know, but that'd still be douchey wouldn't it.
Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's just or the right thing to do. OP believes he got fucked for no reason and tries to do something about it.
Also maybe back in your age, "moron" was a way of responding without any actual argument, but nowadays it just make you look juvenile. Is that a way of making yourself feel young?

No, it's my way of insulting your intelligence. It's not that complicated. Don't read between the lines; stick with the literal meaning, sparky. I'm calling you a moron. I.e., I'm saying you're stupid, dull, retarded, dim, and obtuse. In other words, you're a fucking idiot.

All clear now?

Moron.

It wasn't a joke, it was an example. I wasn't sure whether you're naively law-abiding or stupid, so I wanted to be certain that even a total retard could relate.
You can keep throwing ad hominem attacks all you want, I'll be back once you're ready to have a conversation that involves actual arguments. I'm sure that your grandpa pride won't let me have the last word.

I'm the only person who's articulated an intelligent point in the thread. You? Not so much.

So, no, I won't be arguing with myself. Say something that adds to the conversation, and perhaps people will respond (maybe even me). But put some effort into it, ok? Your attention whoring is getting old.

You're like one of those little peon minions who toady up to others. "Good one, boss! You show'd 'em!" Except your hero is a moron. Guess what that makes you?

Your only argument so far was "Be an adult, don't whine on social media. Fucking kids these days."
Which is more of a personal opinion than anything. Good for you, I don't see anything intelligent about it though.
Then you started to call everyone who disagreed with your opinion morons.
I'm still waiting for that example of an auction site that's remotely close to ebay in scope and popularity.
