Not only does it completely solve the scaling, speed, cost and security issues, it also negates the need for all sorts of off-chain solutions such as Segwit. It will literally remove competing alternatives such as Railblocks, Iota, etc from the market. With launching these satellites into space, it's also laying the foundation for a truly decentraliced internet itself in the future.
