Almost every coin is trash, especially ETH. I know people are getting suckered into this 'dapp's bullshit but the reality is none of these coins serve a purpose. If ETH refocused itself as a world currency I'd be more interested in it.

Everything can be done without a blockchain with the exception of things like BCH is about to introduce, tokens which ID/track/record things forever such as jewellery, freight, land ownership, etc. These types of tokens need to be associated with a currency that back that token up.

I was 100% in Bitcoin until it morphed into Bcore, now I'm 100% in Bitcoin (BCH) again for the same reasons. Blockchain is only useful as a decentralized currency, the fact of the matter is Blockchain is just a fancy word for database or distributed database and they're not very special.
