What's your success/devastating loss story? How long have you been in the game? How's life going for you over all?

Been a long time lurker, started in Nov adding money every week wagecucking, only regret is not cashing out some in Jan. Gonna start neeting next month and just wait for Sergey to deliver. Crypto gave me hope so I've got that atleast.

Heard about bitcoin in 2013
Wanted to buy whole unit, but had no money (was a teen without job)
Then in late 2016 - early 2017 tech news site I was constantly reading started to show BTC price and I was hooked, but again had no money since was saving hard to add and buy new apartment. in the autumn finally ended up in new place, had 400$ of savings after moving and spent on BTC, then November-January you know what happened and now I'm at 0.05BTC

it sucks, but at least I don't have for rent anymore
but it sucks even more to know if I threw my savings into crypto I would be multi million right now, living off passive income till end of my life
trying to fomo now, but failing to find any money. hey hey heeeeeeeey

its easy to think like that but if you had thrown your life savings into crypto and lost it all how fucked would you be?

>bought a new apartment, a gud car, a watch.
>quit 8h/days jobs and wnet on traveling
> meet a girl and still feel gud with our relationship.

I bought into fingerprint cards with a substantial amount. The technology looked good. But due to the board of directors and ceo being a bunch of retards Im still - 42% a year later.

True, but still you know how hard is to sleep sometimes, when you flip your memories and think how things could go if you made different decisions.
At least I did a full cycle from euphoria to burnout and despair, dodged into scams and good projects, know people in industry and so on, so now I could lead my friends and other peers into this so they will thank me later.
Anyway there is a lot of much less lucky people than me at 25y/o mark, hard to complain

What's your story?

New to crypto, not in til first week of Dec 2017. Was familiar with BTC but had forgotten it even existed til news blew up.

Went in with about $5,000 in Dec. Made enough to pay my rent + bills for 4 months and put about $3k on a mining rig.

Bear market hit, didn't cash out til about $11k BTC, way late. Used bear market to learn TA, FA, research, started making informed trades.

Up about 10% now, only because I would've held to zero before I ever weakhanded out and sold at a loss.

I remember dropping my whole stack into XRP in October/November-ish while it was still $0.20, I sold after the first BIG run when it touched $1.30s or so.
While I still got an amazing pay out that allowed me to quit wagecucking, if I had waited even just a week or two longer, I would have made a LIFE changing amount of money, tens of thousands more. Crazy to think of all the things that could have been. Still getting by though.

That sounds incongruous now that I read it.

Sold *part of* my position at 11k. Held onto a lot of "muh fundamentals" bags the entire time. Didn't sell nearly enough even at 11k.

First heard about bitcoin in 2014, did some research and got into bitcoin mining. FIgured my PC was trash so never bothered to get into into.

Fast forward to 2015. Do more research on how to get money as a broken teen. Remember bitcoin and do those shitty bitcoin faucet things and try to gamble it. Ends up failing and becoming extremely boring so I don't pursue.

Fast forward late 2017, realized how much I fucked up by not keeping up with the trend of BTC, think about it every day as a broke student studying boring ass things in uni.

Started with 0.07 BTC in august. Put about 1k into crypto in total, last 200 usd a week ago. Now at 0.5 BTC. Not bad, but not good either. Lost a lot during the bear markets.

I learned about BTC in early 2011. Was fucked up on drugs and antidepressants for the past 7 years and didn't buy any crypto until Dex 2017 even everybody and their mama was talking about it. Didn't make shit because i fell for the hodl meme and now stuck holding bags of garbage

>> No.9116023

Started in late September last year invest 1k initially. I had quit my job with enough money to last a year to get my business up and running.

Invested a bit more, a bit more. Next thing I know business is on hold and I'm researching and trading full time. Was making 2k+ per day at a stage, was the most insane feeling ever.

Ended up turning ~14k AUD into 110k AUD and should have cashed out.

Lost the majority of it in the crash and had to pull out to have enough to sustain myself and the business but walked away with a healthy profit, working on my business again now.

It was a wild ride while it lasted but I can't believe the amount of naivety and fucking meme communities floating about.

Enjoy the ride boys, don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

First read about BTC in 2014 after a big Pump and thought: Well that was it. You're too late. Also had no money.
In school my teacher told us a few tomes about it two years later and I was like "Yeah, it's too late man"
2017 in August I got interested again by my own bit didn't buy.
Then I spent 60% of my savings (as a student) in December and January in Coins.
Well, I got fucking ass fucked then. Luckily signed up for the ONT airdrop, which I sold when it was worth 2000€ and it made me break even again.
Then I went All in in CPX and now I hold 30.000 of them and I am up 70% or so. Hoping to make it in one year to cash out and study /comfy/
