>The investment banker said £100m was a lot of money – but “not a ridiculous amount of money”. He told the researcher he was “fairly confident” that a driven and passionate individual could “start from zero and get to £100m within 20 years”.
What do you think /biz/, is he right? Can any individual start from zero and get to £100m within 20 years as long as they're driven enough?

We used to have a law that said all buildings shouldnt fuck up the skyline. It got thrown out of the window when fat wallets showed up after 2008.

The worst part is most of these buildings are unoriginal as fuck and are just copy pasted building designs from other cities.

I haven't been to London in many years, but if you're arguing semantics I guess that's "the city". I would consider basically everything to the west of the Gherkin "London" all the way out through Hyde Park.

Not that guy but thats a small part of the "city of london", which is a small zone inside london which is also the financial district

>The rest of London looks very nice
I live here, I might be jaded but 60%+ of London looks like a shit hole. Even the touristy spots like Oxford St/Regent St.

Personally I prefer the countryside or tidy areas like Chelsea, Battersea, the bit of Greenwich near the Cutty Sark etc.

The financial district is in the East in canary wharf. The city is traditional banking but the pace is in the wharf. No one would call the city the financial district.

>if you have 0$
Even if you have 0$ in the bank account, if you think about it, your parents buy shit for you, which counts as an initial investment.

To really start from $0 you might need to be homeless, or possibly an undocumented citizen. Though this train of thought is quickly becoming autistic.

I don't see how this would be done, capital wise, without a financial degree and a bit of connections, as long as you can access large amounts of capital you can make 100M in 5 years. How a degenerate fuck from Tennessee is gonna make that much with his pocket money without aforementioned is not clear.
