Inside bars on the weekly indicate this stock will move sharply. Wether it will break red or left, I've yet to know. DB has been bleeding a lot lately and it has dropped into the oversold category twice in the past month. On the monthly time frame however, it's within the bottom limits of the Bollinger bands. I would long DB based on its relatively low price and proven strength.

It's a gamble though, after all. If we are indeed heading to a recession, DB will go down with all the others. But just looking at the chart and leaving the Jews to their designs, I would actually long DB. Near the money up to Mid-July

Doing GME now. Gamestop is shit short immediately.. Jk, but for real this stock hasn't had support since July '17. Its been in freefall once it stopped trading at 20 dollars. Looking at its entire history it has support at 16.

Weekly Volume is weak. Daily is in a bear channel. Bullish MACD touch on the daily, w better than average volume.
On the 4hr a bullish MACD cross took place, but volume was too weak to follow through. Its got a channel between 13.50 and 14, could maybe gain momentum in there and try for a higher low.

By the way - Starbucks set an ex-dividend date for 2018 - which means, if you buy after that date, you do not get dividends. That date was in Feb. So, you'll get no return this year. Starbuck's has been underperforming for 3 years, while the market was gaining in double digits, Starbucks is stagnant, and not growing hardly at all. As a long term hold, in a 401k, it might make sense, but as a 10 year dividend, it makes no sense at all when there are stocks and funds that so overperform over this one, it's not even funny.

yeah but unless youre daytrading options, you shouldnt be holding contracts in the last week till expiry (and ideally not the last month either). theta decay will work constantly against you at an accelerating rate, and smash your gains. even if youre right, you will make less money than if you had just traded the longer ones.

if youre hunting for bargains, double check the prices on multiple timeframes. youd be suprised how cheap it is to get contracts that are twice the expiry.

SLV is kinda range bound right now (and doesnt move very fast), so i dont think its well suited for a straddle. i try to give myself as much time as is affordable (and that i can maintain decent leverage on). youll lose a little bit in lev the further out, but your chances of coming out ahead are greatly improved.

if im daytrading options on say QQQ swings or something, ill buy the weeklys. but if im speculating on intraday swings etc (or anything where im holding more than a day) i try to give myself enough time where ideally i will be already out of the trade by a month to expiry. sometimes its too expensive so ill go shorter, but it usually burns me and isnt worth it. when you buy shorter ones, check theta and decide whether youre gonna be right enough to counteract the theta decay

i guess its some dudes site trying to get you to pay for lessons. but the free shit up there is more than enough to point you in the right direction.

i sell calls 1-3 months out and into volatility. this should max out what your premium is. if the call expires OTM, you keep the whole premium they paid you. if it expires ITM you get to keep the premium but your stock gets called away at the strike (you still get your money back for selling the stock at this price though).

the idea with covered calls is to neuter your upside to the strike, and hedge against yourself. ideally you just write the contract and thats it. the trades done. you just wait for it to expire
