Relative Strength Index. Looks at average highs and average lows and determines the strength of movements. If the price goes up and the RSI doesn't really follow that means the movement up is weak. Just when I got good at timing the bear market, it goes bullish again.

I find bearish pessimism a lot more predictable than bullish optimism. Reversals to the upside can happen without bullish divergence in a bull market whereas in a bear market, it's almost mandatory.

I've sat out the first 2 weeks of this bull market to try to get a feel for it. I need to adjust my strategies to cope with this new optimism.
