Inside information here, but I have no idea what project its referring to:

>[Facebook is] shitting our pants with the heat and increasing risk of being regulated, especially since we have no way to ensure data isn't sold to third parties except by using a blockchain and that would require a complete overhaul which isn't feasible. Without it though, regulatory fines will eat the company alive because of the scale of our data and the number of third party developers that now expose the company to risk. We've been grappling with how we can adopt DLT as quickly as possible to get ahead of this, and there's one name that keeps coming up. The goal now is to stall any regulations long enough to implement our self-regulation prototype using this third party project, and then announce that our self-regulation system will be launched when that project launches to avoid the government basically taking over the company. If we can at least get as far as having a prototype we can save the company by taking back control of the optics and showing self-initiated progress. If we can't, Facebook is about to change drastically when regulation gets handed down.

What's the project he's talking about? Facebook getting into crypto would be HUUUGE!

I thought that too, but how would LTC help with data and regulation? Sounds like they're looking for more than just a coin.
