All my trading experience has taught me that the only indicator that's not bullshit is MACD. All else is just voodoo

Agree?

yes

Seems like a lot of new investors use MACD and RSI incorrectly then promptly declare they're bullshit. Both are mainly effective on long time scales, not short. The point is to get a general idea of when trend reversals will occur. High RSI even on daily scale is not necessarily an immediate sell signal. You combine it with chart behaviour, such as progressively smaller increases on each leg up, to determine when a stock/coin is nearing overextension point.

You can use moving averages to gauge how the market will generally react to a coin or stock in immediate future. A lot of investors don't like to touch anything trading below the 200 day MA but will jump in hard the moment the chart breaks above it.

None of these are a crystal ball. Good or bad news or some other completely unrelated thing can blow the whole business out of wack. You just take an aggregate assessment of several things, both TA and news/market sentiment, and make your decision from there.

MACD seems to be useful - especially when you've got divergence

Ultimately MACD doesn't mean shit either. It's better than meme lines for sure.
