How much EOS do you need to "make it"? What does "making it" mean?
I have about 1600 EOS, how much can I expect form that?

Depends.
Almost no one is making dapps for eos, so you have to rely on the hope that eth completely fails to scale and its killer apps migrate to eos.
If this happens $200-500 eos is possible.
If not eos goes to 0 and you kys.
Eos is not an investments, is a gamble against the eth team skills. Good luck, you will need it.
