Ok so I'm a classically trained agronomist and one of my hobbies is trading millions of dollars worth of futures contracts ( I hit it big in the shrimp bubble and cashed out early). I also have significant holdings in wheat production and processing, so I typically go long a few million wheat contracts around this time of year to hedge against price fluctuations. With Chainlink, I can use real time weather data to market dump my longs if real time weather conditions stay within the optimal wheat growing conditions, or buy a fuckton of longs if a catastrphic late freeze hits or floods occur in wheat growing regions.
