How much money do I need to get started on crypto? I've come to this board several times over the past two years, and I just can't comprehend the things I read here. How do I get started? Any advice?

you dont need that much. if you put $100 into random shitcoins youd probably be sittting pretty today. honestly just split $100 up into equal parts between the most shilled coins on /biz/ and forget about it for five years, you'll probably do well

Your little anime meme girl has tugged at my heart strings.

You can start with any amount, you just have to have a high risk tolerance if you want to make any amount of real money.

Google “warosu biz” and learn how to use the archives to look up things you don’t understand.

Do your own research and always err on the side of skepticism since this is 4chan.

Last but not least buy some LINK now and thank me later.

Good luck OP

Thanks for the starter advice anons, I'll try to study the culture and terminology here to figure things out, I work a commission sales job right now and have some disposable income, so I wanted to try investing it in something, and this came to mind. I appreciate the advice very much, thank you and good luck with your portfolios, everyone can be wealthy.

Get in on telegram groups. Start with groups associated with coins you like and branch out from there. You'll meet a lot of cool people, learn a lot more than you would have on your own, and will have a place you can litmus test gems you find and get it told straight whether you fucked up or it's legit.

Any amount over $100 is fine I think but if you're around that amount you'll probably need to all in on coins for awhile until you have enough capital to diversify. Good luck.

Unironically read the guides on reddit

Alternatively, just buy some bitcoin or ethereum and spend your days here researching

$300 is enough to learn, how to buy, how to invest and whether you are any good at it.
Once you double that money, you can decide on whether you want to cash out or reinvest all profits.

Ye, and always remember to deduce 20-30% from what your portfolio tells you, cos you gotta pay yuge fees to withdraw and deposit fiat

Anon remember not to fall for tricks you'll see here, people try to get you to invest in vaporware coins. You might as well go to vegas. If you're learning stick to the big players like ether and diversify into lower market caps from there. Look for signs of adoption.

>> No.8996564

You are fucking stupid if you didn't figure things out within a month.
You can start with any amount, but the real minimum comes from the minimal amount allowed by your Bitcoin (or other currency) seller. In my case it's $2.
Use localbitcoins website to transfer money.

Just set up a coinbase account, then buy ethereum on there, then set up an forkdelta account, send eth to your wallet address there(spend some time figuring out how forkedelta works first) then buy however much LINK and Blockcat you want, wait until the next bullrun, and cash out when either 10xs. If one does it before the other, sell it and put all that into the other one. Hey now you're rich

Yeah I am doing a little like this myself. I got out in December and tried to enter again in March and got burnt ~10% (I’d be up 25% if I kept that though). I haven’t been in crypto with huge amounts (I couldn’t risk a lot of money and only wanted to invest what I was willing to lose).

So that said I am similar to you OP. Just start with what you’re comfy with but it just takes a little luck and you can do a lot with $250 % wise.

I got back in recently with the market pick up. I am going for a moon ride longshot with UUU, bought into the memes with LINK (actually I didn’t take link seriously at all with the memes until I read into it) and finally on board again with XLM since it made me 3x last year. I am trying to think medium-long term gains but I think most shitcoins you should go for the short term unless you are like me and really want a chance to gamble. I’d like to have 1000 LINK, 500 XLM and 100K-200K UUU but this is all I can spare at the moment.

Best of luck OP, you seem like a good guy so I hope you make it.

It's a protocol for allowing people to develop smart contracts without having any technical experience or programming knowledge, essentially democratizing the development of smart contracts, The team is very young, dumb, and full of cum, and the coin supply and marketcap are incredibly low at the moment, with the previous ath of 6+ dollars being a hint at what's to come. Also it has a cute cat logo

What? No, chainlink connects blockchain to legacy systems and apis so that blockchain smart contracts can have access to off-chain data in a decentralized and trustless way. Blockcat just allows for people with no programming knowledge to devlop smart contracts using modual inputs and data sets. Totally different usecases.

Just start dumping a portion of your paycheck in through cornbase each check.

I started with a 500 dollar investment, and after 5 months I was able to get to 5k invested. The fact that I dollar cost averaged my way through this market was actually a good thing for me. If I'd have jumped in with 5k originally, I'd still be operating at a loss.

You should probably hurry up, though.

This market is about to take the fuck off.
