I've lost her.

We'd been together for 5 years. She was the first person that I saw every morning when I opened my eyes, and the last person that I saw every night before I closed my eyes.

We'd been through a lot of things. Together. We'd lived together in 4 cities and 6 homes. She filled in things that I lack, and vice versa. We'd made love several times.

I wanted to marry her in November this year. But things changed drastically in only 2 months. We fought, and fought, and fought. We saw that it was coming. We decided that we're not the best for each other.

Now she has found someone new. She spent the last 2 nights with him in a hotel in another city, 1.5 hours from my place. They are happy together. She is happy.

I was furious. I was jealous. I cried. I shouted. But now.. I'm numb. I don't know if I can fall in love with another person ever again.

I've lost her.

thats what happened to me too, 4 year relationship, she was with another dude a week later, moved in with him. She musta been cheating in retrospect to have someone else so quickly... but either way, it made it easier to get over her cuz I actually hated her guts then. She tried to get back with me a few months later and I couldn't stand her face. It was for the better
