I don't think you're familiar with the concepts of forks and IP. BCore doesn't "own" the name bitcoin, it's not a trade mark. BCore is just as a fork as BCash if not more since it's moving to a 2nd layer in an uncharted territory and a risky one if I dare say.

Your avoiding all the hard questions, like the fact r/bitcoin and the majority of people buying BTC have absolutely no fucking clue what Bitcoin is and how it works, so by quoting the price you're not proving anything technically, only that it has demand. You could argue just as well XVG/LTC/ETH/XRP is the true coin which is valuable digital gold just because people are buying it. Just because BCore is popular NOW doesn't mean it'll stay so.

if every other bitcoin fork before and after bitcoin cash fork is scammy, what makes bitcoin cash not scammy?

the bitcoin cash fork only happened after segwit rendered bitmain's 30% hashrate "advantage" attack, dubbed ASICboost, useless. W/O ASICboost, bitmain stands to loose over 90 million dollars a year. That is a fact that you can research for yourself.

history repeats itself with bitmain when they fork Monero to Monero Classic in order to keep their proprietary cryptonight asic mining "edge"

moral of story, bitmain owns bitcoin cash and monero classic only because the old chain's algos give them an exclusive asic mining advantage.

this is a loaded q and you know it. my answer is Yes, under certain circumstances.

If a software has a zero day vulnerability that when exploited, malicious actors can monopolize on a 30% "edge" over the unsuspecting rest of the software userbase, you're fucking A right I expect a new release that will patch the exploit. Microsoft does it all of the time. practically every month.

any business venture is a risk. plain and simple. bitmain investing millions of dollars on a zero day vulnerability is a terrible way to manage that risk.

forking bitcoin to create an instrument that is able to utilize that well invested into exploit is kind of smart. trying to pass it off as the original is just sad.

which ones are you referring to? perhaps both?

we know bitmain was exploiting the ASICboost attack WAY before they released their ASICboost capable machines. It wasn't until SegWit was enabled and cash was created did they market these machines.

SAME tactic, same company different coin. Monero. We know that bitmain was secretly mining Monero with cryptonight capable ASIC machines. It wasn't until the Monero sanctioned hard fork to resist ASICs is when bitmain showed their hand and marketed their cryptonight capable ASIC mining machines (they even included a disclaimer saying the Monero fork will render the machines useless for Monero. Then, out of thin air (((they))) forked Monero to Monero Classic to keep the cryptonight capable ASIC machine meme going.

I don't care what you spend your money on... just know the truth and speak the truth.

This is correct.

I was there, i saw the general realisation that if a miner were, say, reliant upon a covert form of asicboost to push everyone else out and form a near mining monopoly (sound familiar?), then segwit would inadvertently obviate that advantage, and then i saw the community reaction to get segwit implemented asap, then i saw bcash get created VERY QUICKLY after that with one initial prime difference: no segwit. It forked like the day before segwit was locked in on the bitcoin chain iirc.

Here's the quick rundown:
The biggest bitcoin hardware producer/mining company (they do both) had a patent on a hardware approach that gave them a massive advantage over other miners and would eventually lead to them dominating mining entirely. There was an upgrade to the Bitcoin protocol which nullified this (segwit), and it was successfully adopted last year.
The company didn't like this and launched the Bitcoin cash (BCH) fork to maintain their advantage there.
Being very rich (billions in profit) they were able to afford a MASSIVE astroturfing campaign. Craig Wright and John Macafee are career con men so they jumped on board. IDK wtf Roger Ver is getting out of this but he's involved too, I don't get the impression he understands much about tech or game theory.
