This picture is erection stirring. Look how often a smart contract would be used in this process.

>> No.8964866

>>8964726
this is one of the biggest reasons im very bullish of chainlink. cause this is the type of process that requires quite a lot of connections to smart contracts but the company itself has really no reason whatsoever to go the tokenization route and create a network of smartcontracts for itself. so they just use a blockchain solution, they access the data through oracles and perform the tasks. no need for shitty crypto startups or chink scams promising to deliver production logistics on decentralized networks. the company is great at what it does and uses tools to access the benefits of decentralization and smart contracts.

Alright, let me start out with a letdown. I've started this as a larp as I don't actually know if the Shared Factory DAO will be utilizing any sort of oracle and even less whether it will be Chainlink. This will piss some of you off, but I have now decided I'd rather give you everything I know of without getting myself into some sort of house of cards with nobody believing me a single word. Forgive me for this.

I work for a company where there are tons of SC use cases tied to our products and the industry as a whole, so my employer and the respective teams seem to be very interested in driving up efficiency via Blockchain solutions. "We" are currently involved in PoC development(s) using Hyperledger "Sawtooth Lake" but I do not know any details. I will try to get my hands on something in the coming days.

Here's what I know of about the Cognizant SFDAO, in addition to what you can read about in the PDF:

They plan on using "secure hardware by a well known hardware manufacturer that will provide computational anonymity down to the silicon components". I suspect this is Intel SGX for obvious reasons. Additionally, they will be using Intel Gateway IoT devices.
The Models used for 3D Printing will be stored via the IPFS.
The Smart Contracts will run on the Ethereum Blockchain.
To prevent fraud and misuse of IP, they are implementing some sort of IP Protection service via SCs.
Orders will be matched via SCs via a market place for resources, logistics and 3D models that can be customized before printing. Designers of these models will be rewarded via Smart Contracts.

! 3YourMind will manage the matching between all parties involved via their API platform !

End to end decentralization of their solution is very important to them.

Combine all this and it's only a relatively small leap to theorize about a ChainLink partnership (look at the reference section of the PDF).

This is all I have.

I love that aspect of LINK. You have these companies who will buy tokens to run nodes and support the network, and they will be able to save a LOT of money with Smart Contract functionality, AND make a ton as their LINK tokens go up in value.
