Recently I started running ZenCash securenodes, spend plenty of long detailed shill threads on the subject and now that I have set up my shit it is my time to shine. Currently basking in 41 secure nodes, all running. Raking in 78$ per node per month at the current ZEN price (32$). Which means I am making 3200$~ monthly (100$~ daily) just from securing the network and hodling these nodes.

I am sure that some equilibrium will be reached when more nodes come online and dumped rewards cause constant sell pressure, but for now I will keep buying below 50$, started buying at 20$, went all in at 23$. Ready for 3 supernodes once they come out. Just wanted to remind everyone about my genius level move here. We are still very far out from the ATH and all that ZEN needs to do is maintain a constant market share % to keep the gravy going through the next few cycles.

At the current price your ROI is less than a year, not bad.

I figure that when we start spiking up beyond the ATH I will start selling my rewarded ZEN in chunks weekly. Along with the ZEN I do not need after I have set up my third Supernode. So if we do spike after June/August, then that is where my ROI should be too. Any funds going out of these nodes will seek some other passive income methods. Feeling quite comfy with my plans. Lets hope these devs do not fuck up my game.

I'm accumulating for my own supernode also. If this coin has even a fraction of the potential of reaching Dash level, the passive income will be ludicrous.

However, you're not making that much right now. The current payout is still 3.5%, which means around $26 per node per month. The new 10% payout will hit at end of May. Still decent gains.

do u have to keep the coins online in the secure node? at risk of getting hacked?

How many do you need for a node

Damn I was under the impression the latest update got us to the 10% increase in mining rewards while May was when we get the Supernodes? My bad, spend my entire weekend in linux command line instead reading the whitepaper. Either way, May is pretty close! Good luck on your accumulation, buy on the daily dips.

No, I have mine in cold storage, the VPS uses them as collateral wallet.

>>8925216

42 ZEN for a Securenode, 500 ZEN for a supernode.
Rewards from end of May shoud be here:

All good, yeah, the plan is to hard fork in May to implement all the changes and release supernode compatible software. Congrats on getting all of those nodes set up, I know how much of a pain working with linux systems can be if you're not a sysop. I've considered the same, but I determined that I'm too lazy to set up a bunch of secure nodes when in a month I'll only need to set up one supernode.

>>8925215
Nope. You keep your coins in a t-address which you keep in your wallet, and direct your VPS Zen software to pay out to that address.

Even more amazing, the team has already finalized Ledger support and are waiting for the next firmware update. Hardware wallet adoption is critical for widespread usability.

I can help shill and answer any other questions. I did a ton of due diligence after the supernodes witepaper came out and I'm impressed.

Definitely a learning curve here, but setting up a single node isn't that bad. Best to go through the whole set up 1-2x before you do your final setup. It makes you understand the logs better in case things go wrong weeks in and you have to troubleshoot. Or your VPS for some reason gets reset.

In my opinion nodes and good staking/interest parameters projects will have a good runtime for several reasons:

> DASH kinda tainted the whole masternode scene, but people will discover that incentive nodes actually are useful to a network and decentralization. ZEN already outperforming Bitcoin on nodes just because people get paid to run one. You don't even get money to open a LN channel. In the long term that's not a very good approach at increasing network effect.

> GPU mining will hit a point where ROI will be less than the digital equivalent (node/staking/interest)
> The way the profits will be taxed is going to a whole lot less invasive than through trading
> "Passive income" is always something people are looking for.

And then we are not even talking about the low supply on this coin, the fact that it had bottomed out recently and more nodes are coming online at this point than mining rewards for the current month. Just speculation, but being in here early is going to be one of the guaranteed profits of 2018. If Crypto stays around, getting such a node (ZEN or any other) is the equivalent of buying a few hundred acres of very cheap land in a oil/gold rich geographical area.

What would be the pros and cons between zencash and zcoin?

>Dash level

Look into Vivo while you're at it, it's a literal fork of Dash, I'm sitting on 10+ nodes right now waiting for the next top, the price is the lowest it's been since it came out. Getting impatient in all honesty but I've got all the time in the world

Apples & Oranges. Different teams with different plans and goals. ZCoin seems to be setting itself to be up to become a currency, while ZenCash is looking to be a self-sustaining econ system and DAO. The latter is a whole lot more interesting as to what ZCoin is trying, but complexity of achieving something like that is also much higher (higher chance of failure).

Why is the ROI of a super node less than that of a regular node? What are the advantages of having a super node? Kind of confused here.

>> No.8925955

Motivating words, thanks for chiming in. I do hope the zen team can deliver on their roadmap. They’re aiming to be a platform more than a currency, which I believe is a much better direction, as long as it gets used. Hopefully the server requirements for super nodes can be utilized.

>>8925795
I’ve looked at other Masternode coins and zen seems to be the best balance between being under the radar (so I can afford the node) but also really great community and responsiveness by devs in the discord. Most other coins are moneygrabs

Supernodes aren't online yet, so the amount on the sheet is only a rough estimate. In the first month I am pretty sure we will have less than 300-500 supernodes online, which would place ROI somewhere towards +100%/year. The first few weeks of Supernodes will likely be the most profitable because very few nodes compete for 10% of the global mining rewards. In long term Supernodes will be more profitable than Securenodes, as Securenodes are more than 10x cheaper at any given point (unless devs change requirements).

You can copy the sheet and play around with the numbers a little.
