Long term, so like more than ten years. NR. Newpark Resources. Best fracking gear company out there. Beaten down by cheap oil and rig shutdowns, both of which are temporary. A steal at or under a $6 handle.

You could buy 40k TBEV.
If commissions are $7 per trade and the stock goes up 0.05 cents you still made $6.

TK's commision is $4.95 per trade. That means if you buy/sell $100 of a stock it has to move 4.95% in the right direction before you even *break even*. You also start IN THE HOLE because of the bid/ask spread, so it's even worse. There is literally no reason to trade with such small amounts.

Open a demo account at a broker if you want to fuck around until you have real capital. I personally won't buy/sell less than $10,000 of a stock at a time (which, at $4.95 commission, requires a 0.0495% movement in the right direction to break even.).

You faggots need to realise that no matter what Robinhood or Tradeking or any other meme-app would have you believe, you cannot start a worthwhile portfolio with chump change.

What would you consider the minimum amount of capital to invest with while keeping a low bid/ask spread?

This. Plus, he obviously has no clue what he is doing if he has to ask for advice on here. If I were him, I would save it for paying my bills or something.

As for a potential investment that MIGHT make >45% over the next 6 months, I would probably recommend Spirit Airlines (SAVE.) The most conservative estimates have it hitting $70/share from the current $49.

Tradeking has really bad rates for OTC listed stocks so stay away from any of those. Also, if I was in your position I would buy DOM, they have a strong record and are trending at what I believe is their low point. DOM also pays a pretty large sized dividend, so in the future if you wanted to pick up more and hold it is decent passive income to reinvest into stocks.

>> No.892486

TradeKing, Per the fine print they charge $.01 “per share” on stocks less than $2. On top of this, they do not even allow orders on stocks that trade for below $.01.

Fucking moron. If you buy and sell a stock that is two transactions. It means the stock has to move 9.90% before you make a profit, not 4.95%. If you're gonna shoot something down, do it correctly.

>> No.892654

>>890906
can't even buy that with 100

>> No.892732

buy/sell meant "buy or sell" (i.e., go long/short), not buy & sell, but you are right. I was only talking about opening the trade.

>>892654
You could with a platform like Loyal3. You can get fractional shares.

>>891878
When I buy or sell stocks, I only do $10,000 or more. I don't really have a recommendation. I mostly algotrade forex, not stocks.

This but it's maxed out at 5% of the price of your trade. Still the .01 price minimum prevented me from buying TBEV.
