Isn't this something about trading the nines? If I remember correctly, if the nine is above the six you can expect upward movement.... Or maybe it's the opposite.

So it seems the nine closing below a six on a down movement signifys bullish. And the inverse is true for an uptrend.. So if the nine closes above the six today then maybe we see a strong thrust upwards.

Is this shitty indicator really useful?
It seems something hard to understand, while you can easily say by Stoch and BB that BTC is oversold as fuck without counting candles.

Price actions have specific patterns. Some more reliable than others. The lagging indicators RSI, MACD) can help clean up what you are seeing but they are a step behind. But by clearing up what you are seeing they help make patterns clearer.

If you have a low visual IQ you cannot do TA. If you can't play chess or go, or learn quickly, TA will look like bullshit to you. Hedge Funds and investment banks have buildings with floors just dedicated to TA nerds cranking out analysis to firm up decisions and help traders or financial advisors made good decisions.

Hedge funds and banks have floors dedicated to TA....... no, just no, it shows you have no clue what you are talking about

They have floors dedicated to ai and algorithmic trading, TA is quite rightly viewed largely as a meme

>> No.8924379

>>8924308
Algorithmic trading is usually based on some objective TA.

Mean reversion is just a rigorous bollinger band strat.

Tone Vays is the biggest proponent of using TD Sequential for BTC trading, but I prefer hunting for divergences.

I know a guy that works at a financial advising firm. They have advisors in cities down to 20k people. They centralize their TA so the local financial advisors don't have to think about TA, just advise and build relationships.

>It seems something hard to understand
It's really not hard at all. Perl's rules to trading are easy to follow with the TD setup and countdown script by andyhitchman (although he doesn't get all the 13s where they should be) because it will draw you the resistances and stop loss point. And the rules are easy to understand in an afternoon. But I don't really like those exact rules for crypto.

In any case there's no shit your pants indicator, just more stuff to decide if you want to be in a trade or not.

I have to admit that I suck at seeing hidden divergence.

I mostly look for regular divergence to get me good entries and exits.

I need to improve my hidden divergence detection skills. It just doesn't seem as powerful as regular divergence.
