Applying for a mortgage. Have the credit score and the debt to income ratio. All looks good but.... I fudged some numbers on the last two years tax returns. Added a bunch of deductions in the form of donations to get a bigger return.
How bad did I screw myself? Could this stop me from getting a mortgage loan?

Nah, they really don't give a shit. The bank that gave me my loan didn't even finish getting all of the paperwork they were supposed to, I keep getting notifications from investment accounts I have that they're requesting the info. Meanwhile, I already am living in my house, have already signed the loan agreements (obviously), etc. Banks prefer to have clients and not more paperwork and obstacles. You'll be fine.
