Stellar will fucking blow up when central bank backed cryptos come onto the stellar network. This is like ethereum ICOs but 1000x more valuable. Everyone who wants to swap his shitcoins into real money has to buy xlm first.

This feels so fucking comfy when someone with inside knowledge shills stellar.

Considering btc price action, i think that any coin related to a fiat gateways has good room for growth. Blockchain is a database and it has its uses. People will want enterprise and utility coins regardless of price. Xlm may be a next gen eth and it won't look like some shitty sandbox either

>> No.8841045

I'm a big supporter and believer of Stellar as a platform. I've also followed all Michael Dowling AMA so I know that adoption is imminent for Stellar. However as investment, stellar is a very bad investment.

>Over 80 billion tokens still not in circulation
>Built in 1% inflation mechanism. At start there's 100 billion XLM, now 3 years have passed and there's 103,8 billion XLM. This'll increase exponentially.
>You could argue inflation payout is incentive/dividend, but it's absolutely not, since Stellar built in inflation of 1% total supply (not circulatory supply) means inflation beat your payout
>Lastly, the remaining token distribution. You should read their mandate. Some will be given to partners (which is good), however about 50% will be given free to people via direct sign up program. How they'll do this is still unknown.

>> No.8841097

wrong. stellar direct giveaways are over.
only partners who created a great product on Stellar will get Lumens to give them to their users in a small amount to push forward the adoption. this actually is great for XLM, because those people will buy a lot more XLM when they run out of their 10 USD free xlm.
i.e. Satoshipay you have to buy 50 Lumens to get 50 Lumens for free from the giveaway programm.

also the inflation goes directly into your wallet. so the 1% increase in total supply also results in 1% increase in your wallet ballance.

weak FUD bro.

>> No.8841189

>>8841113

I know that giveaways to btc holders are done.

You should read this:

https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/

Look at Lumen Distribution, you'll find that 50% will be given via direct sign up program

First paragraph of direct signup program:

>The goal of the Direct Sign-up Program is to make lumens easily accessible to millions of individuals and communities across the globe. By implementing a simple mechanism for distribution featuring a low barrier to entry, we hope to distribute FREE LUMENS to millions of individuals.

Yes 1% increase in total supply increase 1% your wallet balance. Okay maybe I word it a bit wrong before, the 1% inflation payout will serve to hedge the inflation of total supply. But my point regarding 1% inflation of TOTAL supply (meaning 103 billion XLM as of now) and will increase exponentially still stand. They need to start distributing XLM otherwise the number of XLM not in circulation will increase more years by years.

If you want more proof, look here:

https://dashboard.stellar.org/

Look at the direct signup program, they only finished giving away 10% (4,8 billion XLM) , still about 45 billion XLM to be given for free.

At the moment there's still no clear plan on the direct sign up program. Currently it's given away to those who attend Stellar's meeting (about 300-500 XLM per person I believe). Distribution will continue for another 10 years (IIRC). It's hard to imagine how Stellar will plan to give away 45 billion XLM over 10 years without causing dump or price stagnation.
