Just took a quck look and the first thing I noticed was some divergence of the price action and the MACD that occurred over several months. Generally for price stability peaks in the price should be met with peak in the MACD, and valleys in price should be met with valleys in the MACD.

We didn't see that, which suggest that DAI was overvalued for some reason. I didn't look at anything fundamental (I don't know what the Euro version of a 10k or 10q) and I didn't dig into a shorter time frame, I just know it was over valued and it will probably work its way back down in fits and starts.

Annual dividend payout. Daimler has a pretty high dividend, so it's more noticeable in the chart than with most other stocks.

Looks like fundamentally DAI will be caught in between a trade war between China and the US due to the US car parts use in their products

Price and RSI/MACD divergence is kinda a soft indicator, which is why I looked at the longer monthly trend and I went looking at the DAI page on tradingview to get some recent news. DAI looks like a good short for the next several months.

>Price and RSI/MACD divergence is kinda a soft indicator
This is true, bud you didn't check for the Bertold inversion which should happen earlier in the graph, at 67% of the RSI/MACD divergence relative to the DPI index, and is present here. The divergence paired with the Bertold divergence is considered one of the strongest implicators in lengthwise price volatility on an oscillating motion. It's almost like you skipped class that day.
Far from looking like a "good short for the next several months", DAI looks like it could break out in a semi-shaded Marge pattern.
