just realized that we don't know shit about staking or how would the nodes work. i dont care that much about the technicals if it isnt relevant, i am only focused on what i should do to benefit from it. with that in mind, im wondering how the fuck would running a node work. jobs would be randomly appointed right? that is a necessary feature so that it would protect against malicious actors. if your node is called to do a job would it be done automatically? i cant imagine how it would be beneficial if it wasnt automatic. wouldnt it be too slow? so how would you point your node to get data from this specific API, or how would you task your node to get the data needed? on that note, if you can "point" to an API beforehand, that is, it would be done automatically, how would the job request determine if your node is capable of providing the data it is requiring? lastly, i saw some posts here before that rare APIs or obscure APIs would be beneficial because, well, of its rarity which means it should theoretically be more expensive to use. i am wondering if you are able to see the details in the smart contract which would ask you to do the job or something. if that's the case, would you be able to see where it took the "obscure data"? i guess that's where rumors or speculation with enigma comes in? although i am not familiar with it. i just know that it makes data private or some shit. hope we can get some discussion regarding this shit going so that brainlets like me would finally understand. get the fuck in here marines

to add to this, if you can point to an API beforehand, is there a limit to how many APIs you can point to? im guessing no because it would be a retarded limitation otherwise. i guess if the post about obscure shit is true then it would be beneficial to run concurrent nodes where you separate quality APIs in case they are called because they would be more profitable

you dont need any link to run a node, but the more link you have, the more reputable your node will be. larger enterprises will want to use more reputable nodes
