That the "research has modeled link" is based around the selfish miner theory which assumed the network is a mesh like system which we now know it isn't. It also assumed you aren't getting 6 blocks per hour consistently which bch is. See https://fork.lol/blocks/time, 7 day is consistent but It should be better imo.
Now that I've said that I read the rest of the article and it's just nonsense since the central point is refuted.
