> If any of you have seen the documentary “The China Hustle” (highly recommend), they actually directly address this issue. Small-cap Chinese companies were listed on large US exchanges through reverse mergers, and US investment banks initiated this process and sold shares in these companies and enormously profited. However, these companies were dramatically over-inflating their balance sheets and revenue numbers - thus leading to a skyrocketing stock price. How were these companies/investment banks able to pull this off? They used brand name audits from the Big 4 to give the shady companies a “stamp of approval”, but instead of using the centrally based operations (which would be much more likely to find issues/discrepancies), they used the Chinese based operations (aka “PWC China”). Different offices of these firms operate completely on their own and the merit of a “Deloitte China” does not equal that of simply “Deloitte”.

>In fact, the documentary even uses PWC as an example. Quote from the documentary -“Many of these companies will say - ‘Well look, we are being audited by PWC’ - no they’re not, they’re being audited by PWC China, which is like a franchise, it’s not really PWC”

Damn, poor Jim Breyer and Tim Draper fell for such an obvious scam. Good thing we have great minds on /Biz/ to help us avoid getting scammed on this.

Difference is both of them got VEN for under 10 cent and many more just for endorsing VEN.

This shit coin can go to 10 cent and they still made a profit to the people who invested in them.

Try to say the same thing while you are holding bags at 6$ per coin.

No they did not, Tim Draper and Jim Breyer are NOT strategic partners. They are investors. They are not going to be running dapps on the blockchain. The pool is for people who need VET/VETHOR to use the blockchain such as DNV GL and PwC. Jim Breyer and Tim Draper both had to buy from market, and since Jim Breyer recently removed the 'I do not own any VEN' disclaimer on his quora article we can assume he bought within the last month or so.

Also..
>A small start-up is paying a billionare venture capitalist who's reputation is everything (he's refered to by Forbes as the "Midas touch investor") peanuts to eventually come out as a scam and tarnish his name that he's worked so hard for
Yeah I'm sure he'd go for that

All these appeals to authority like Jim Breyer and Tim Draper are so cucky. A core component of your investment strategy is based around 2 guys who you didn’t even know existed 2 months ago. And now your tongues are so firmly up their buttholes it’s pathetic. You are literally brainless followers and are easily led by authority figures. And don’t think for one second they had to buy VEN on the open market either. You’re truly naive if you really believe that.

Most people above the age of 17 knew who JB is. It's ok if you knew nothing about him or his reputation up until 2 months ago, but your projection is annoying to read. I got in before JB so my reasons for investmebt have nothing to do with him, but he certainly knows better than you or I do.

Kek, there were probably a handful of people in the crypto community that knew who Breyer was before Vechain. Every VEN bagholder claims they bought in Nov or Dec, just the lies they tell themselves.
