Open a ROTH IRA put the max yearly contribution. Then open an index fund of your choice. Don't day trade, avoid any guys here telling you to put it in this stock or that option. I believe vanguard also a 401k you can pick and choose. Just play it moderately safe and watch it grow over the next 30-50 years. Have some money on the side for an emergency fund.

I hoarded 50K.

Started initial investment of 25K. My stocks were losing me money. Invested 10K more to average down. Stocks were losing me money. Invested 5K more to average down.

>Down 20K in 40K investment (25K original investment) lulz.

I'll be holding for years to come. Hopefully I will break even someday.

People like him never succeed in life.
They never take risks. You'll have enough money when you're an old man, but what exactly do you need with a lot of money as an old man? You aren't going to enjoy anything. You won't be able to have sex. You'll be tired quickly. Half your body parts won't work and the other half will be in extreme pain.

Risk it, anon. All in. Be fucking rich as possible or dying trying.

THe point of investing the points I made is that it will make your senior years more comfortable. Its the time of your life where you have little to no friends or family. Its better to have something put away. Also 75k a year is the optimal happiness for people. Nothing above htat income level will change.

Ok so besides being a huge disappointment to your entire family, do you do anything at all? If you are fiscally smart then you needent suffer all that shit you said. Budget accordingly to your life style and you can have the fruits of the now and the fruits of the future. Wow so he may not go out that 1 day of the month simply because he put some money into his investment fund. I can see how this would be bad if your whole social life revolved around that one day, but it does not. So please stop assuming that people have the same social life as yourself, its quite depressing.

This guy had it right, when you are investing. You are investing for the future, if you want maximum gains and riches just to fuel your Cheetos 7 up filled world of Warcraft 48 hours of raiding weekend, then by all means go to a fucking casino. The risk is about the same as any other short sighted half brained scheme.

this guy is 100% right and anyone telling you "hurr moar risk" is only taking more risk for less returns.

You statistically can't do any better than this.
