Look up Dave Ramsey and follow his baby steps, live debt free. It's what I'm doing to help my mom get out of her car payment. Money could be used somewhere else.

Learn to cook
Stay at home leaching off your parents for a while while you build up savings
Don't go into debt
Put as much as you're comfortable with from each paycheck into savings/investments
You don't need most of that stood shit you want to buy on impulse, don't get it.
Get educated in something useful, I'd suggest business
Get a job

Stay away from heavy porn usage. Keep it to a minimum of once a week. Literally the best advice you could get at your age.

Do. Not. Go. Into. Debt.

If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. The only thing you should buy on "credit" is your house. Learn to set savings goals. And you shouldn't have an "emergency credit card", since more often than not you and up using it for a tiny setback when you could've just started saving hard.

Don't let the minor advantages of credit (1% cash back and/or points towards frivolous bullshit isn't worth the risk) convince you otherwise. Use a prepaid cc to buy online.

Learn a trade completely separated from your college. Get a job as soon as possible, it's going to streamline you for the real world. And make sure to have a hobby, an actual one not "Consuming media" be it reading/gaming/binging or hanging out. A genuine hobby that you are excited about like making robots, drawing, making music, programming, moddeling or any other PRODUCER oriented hobby where you actually make something or add to something instead of only consuming.

These are the things I wish I could have told myself sooner with a time machine. Now I'm 30 and only now I feel like I have a fulfilling life. I was a shitty porn addicted gamer for almost a full decade. After scheduling my life between hobby, skill and career I finally got out of this rut of depression and now I have my own mediocre performing small company that at least pays reasonable and it feels good seeing something you created grow every month.
