Yes, it’s very, very fucked. Here’s why:

1. It won’t have first mover advantage for crypto payments to cash, Coinbase just chucked them
2. It won’t be as good at crypto to crypto payments as OmiseGo
3. It won’t be as good at fiat payments as Venmo which is already free among friends and takes 20 minutes if you pay 25 cents

Basically, it does nothing better than any of the current options. Slower and more expensive than Venmo is a real killer.

i bought something online with bitcoin from an ecommerce site using my coinbase wallet, and it sent the money off chain, through coinbase, without telling me. then they charged their own fees instead of bitcoin transaction fees
