Yeah, people only know extremes here, that's why they buy high (1 trillion mcap!!!!!!) and sell low (project ded, exit scam, useless token).

Realistically, the change was needed and the project is now better off for it. Sure, the token economics are not amazing anymore, but it's not like other projects have better token economics.

Now it's a 26 million dollar project with a 250 million investment coming in, supposedly most of which is going to jBonds, which are JNT backed. jBonds can be offered to a wider array of people, so it makes sense to use some of it for that. It could theoretically be used on exchanges now.

The deteriorating assets thing was also kinda misinterpreted to be honest. If your DAO has to keep buying collateral in a bear market while the collateral drops in value individually, of course that will depreciate your investment, that was clear from the beginning. Even DAI collaterals are getting liquidated in this market. In theory, the market should turn again at some point however, and as the collateral appreciates again, it can be sold off at a gain or produce new CryDRs.

jBonds being available to everyone means higher liquidity and more people being able to put in collateral in order to attain jBonds, which makes it much easier to stabilize the system.

jCash will be used for transfers between institutions and KYC/AML compliant individuals that registered for a specific purpose that requires transactions straight to the bank account (e.g. international remittances). Personally, I'm fine with that as long as it still burns JNT as gas (there are many gas coins at a much higher market cap than Jibrel).

jNodes aren't great, but they aren't horrible. I'd assume that participating institutions will run them to support their jCash activities. Probably pretty low impact.

Wallet voting, we don't need to talk about it, it's a complete and utter meme. Being able to vote for Talal's outfit of the day with JNT would have more impact desu.

Personally, I market sold a huge chunk after the Medium article. They fucked up big time there, they had to know this will spark major FUD. However, I'm also rebuying over the next few days, hopefully increasing my stack big time. As I said, Jibrel itself looks better than ever. If they manage to address the important questions in the Medium article, confidence should return. I don't really believe this is an exit scam or anything of the likes. If SEED will use jBonds, even to a small extent, there will be buy pressure. Even under these renewed circumstances, there is still a lot to be gained from JNT at this market cap.

Had this entire situation been framed differently, people here would be FOMOing.

Imagine this scenario: Bull market, 700b overall market cap, announcement: SEED tokenizing 250 million dollars in asset backed jCash and JNT backed jBonds in pilot project.
