>trade half a bitcoin for 200,000 doge>the price of doge doesn't immediately rocket to $1 eachOf course this is almost impossible unless the entire world abandons other currencies in favor of Doge, there's that voice in the back of my head screaming "bullshit!" every time I make a modest investment and it doesn't just multiply my money by 1000.

>>86507I see.>>86538I feel like what sets Dogecoin apart from most cryptocurrencies is the fact that it has an enthusiastic community that seems dead set on using it as actual money, rather than just playing the speculation game.

will dogecoin hit 50cent one day? they laughed at me in IRC when i asked that
>>86780A Dogecoin is worth a fraction of a cent, and it's less than three months old. I don't see how "nowhere to go but up" is anything but accurate.
>>86782Yeah, some pools were running different versions of the wallet, so the competing hash rates essentially created 2 separate dogecoins, so one got trashed and the other was pushed forward. It's not a super big deal, but we had a big ITS HAPPENING PANIC for a few hours.>>86780Dogecoin is seriously undervalued if you look at it's trade volume alone. It's on par with LTC at this point.
>>86786Dogecoin will have to take the world by storm and be part of a major global shift in finance for that to happen. It's not outside the realm of possibility, but I think it's pretty damn unlikely, considering there's going to be about 100 billion Doge in existence by the year's end. Ten cents is a more realistic expectation (if Doge really catches on).

you would need as much dollar bills to take up every planet in our solar system 20 times to have the same market cap as doge at 10 centsjk its possibleitd just have to be like half of bitcoins market cap right
>>86911I think doge needs to match BTC's market cap to get to $.1.We're already trading at LTC's daily volume, so it's inevitable we surpass them and hit $.01. BTC is gonna take some more leg work, but if we're trading at LTC levels in 3 months then what levels will we be trading at in 6, or 9, or 12? It can go a lot further
ACTUALY LISTEN CLOSELYBitcoin is actually just another worthless altcoin when it comes down to itBitcoin itself is in a huge bubble beyond all comparison. so comparing doge to bitcoin right now is like comparing a full grown girrafe to an antso look you wont get half of a 9 billion market cap you wont even get half of 4 billion you know why?No altcoin will ever reach that ever again as cryptos finds its true place in the world . aka what people are using it for right now basic internet crapno physical wallets and atms fantasy landno paying for groceries with dogenone of thatlearn your place

Kabosu is cute y/y
Heres what i think this is my honest opinion. Crypto currency is silly internet money. STILL. Even though were in a illusion fantasy world right now because of this pump of bitcoin giving it some sort of legitimacy for the short term. But this is also why i think doge will eventually be the most valuable cryptocurrency because it admits that its SILLY INTERNET MONEY. But the market cap wont be anywhere near 9 billion. Maybe 1 billion.

Hello, lads. I'm a total ignorant pleb when it comes to crypto-currencies, and I can't help but wonder whether the coins I obtain through mining will even cover the electricity bills. Can anyone shed some light on this?
>>87198Nearly everything you mine nowadays more than covers the cost of electricity. You can check out coinwarz for a breakdown of profitability amongst the major altcoins
Is it worth putting £90 into DOGE?What are your predictions for the future?
>>87203Ah, thanks buddy. I think I'll just get mining Dogecoin and do some proper research into crypto-currencies as a whole before making a big move.

>>87223To elaborate a bit more, Doge is currently in it's post halving slump, and a recent fork issue pushed it down a bit more, all while BTC is tanking to depress the greater market.Once BTC recovers it will bring DOGE along with it and spark up the prices again. We're already trading a daily volume that matches LTC, so I think going to $.01 is inevitable.I'm in it for the lulz thoughMy 2 cents.
How do you exactly believe that DOGE will go to the moon? Will Jackson Palmer change his mind overnight from altruist dreamer to business jew shark?
>>87258I will become an astronaut and erect a dogeflag and dogecoin atm on the moon.
>>87279
>>87279Just a few trillion more DOGE and we'll be ready to launch our first rocket.
>>87258Nope. Jackson and his best buddy made this, they're pretty committed to it remaining lighthearted. Jackson said no matter how much money he's offered, if the people fronting up the cash don't understand the altruist nature of it, then he won't sell. Just what exactly can he sell, anyway?Jackson and laika, the creators, are pretty hands off at the moment as their personal lives are busy. But for Jackson to sell out, he'd have to lose his best buddy. Captcha: Doges refcon

also exchange on https://pmtocoins.com/
>>87473You need to download every transaction from the beginning of Dogecoin (the entire blockchain) if you use the official wallet, rather than the lite wallet.Considering Doge has been one of the most highly traded altcoins for the past month or so... DATS A LOT OF DATA.
>>87487Thanks for clearing that up, bro.
>>87464We're all on Pandacoin for lulz right nowMulticoin drifting
>>87499So yeah, my advice from now on is to run the wallet once a day, it'll take about 1-10mins to update. Always check that you have the latest version of the wallet. Backup your wallet data frequently, especially after an update. Some of us also do it after a major transaction. Save the backup in a few places. Most importantly, use the encryption option and for Doge's sake, don't forget the password.

>>87860Go to treats.ioTakes around 1 hour after you sent the Doges.
so youre telling me that there is a "currency" in which people "invest" their real life money that is called "dogecoin"?
>>87884Damn right. It's a 70 million dollar market baby
>>87884So you're using "quotations" around "words" like "this?"

>>87881So like does it give me a gift card number of do I have to wait for the card to be shipped? If its an instant number I'll get all over this, I fucking want a pizza right now.
>>87892How old is old? I'm using a 6870 I bought a couple years ago for BTC mining and I'm getting decent numbers. It's to my understanding that in addition to a good GPU you also need enough RAM to match that of your GPU + whatever your OS and open programs take up to make the most of mining with scrypt (the protocol Litecoin/Dogecoin use), though.
>>87897Give them your mail address and 1 hour later you should have your pizza. They are cool, dealt with them before.
>>87913They're two ATI Radeon HD 3800's. They're not even on the hardware comparison list. I'm guessing it's CPU only for me.
>>87917If you're at least a little serious about this and aren't just looking to get enough Doge for the occasional tip, you might want to invest in a beefy GPU.
>>87916Is there anywhere to get those visa type gift cards that work anywhere? I wouldn't mind being able to buy alcohol with dogecoin.
>>87511i think there's a cyclical component to it. it tends to be depressed at the beginning of the year and spike towards the end. maybe it's related to taxes somehow...
>>87931I'm still rather sceptical about the whole cryptocurrency deal, but I am in need of a new video card for gaming anyway, so I might just do that.

>>89380It's fine. PND is required to do the dirty work that Doge cannot be seen doing. Destroying Wolong is vital as his plan was to eventually compete with Doge using his scamcoin.Panda will be the military wing of Doge from now on.
>>89770PND has kimoto gravity well to fend off multipools.DOGE doesn't.
>>89796Doge really should have KGW
>>89905It's too big now to force everybody to upgrade.Devs are afraid of forks.
>>89796are kimoto gravity wells a real thingalso what are multipools
>>89932Multipools jump from coin to coin to target the low difficulty time before difficulty is adjusted back up.They're primarily used by people who dump altcoins immediately after they get them to get fiat or BTC.
>>89932Kimoto gravity well was developed to help seal the excelion black hole, distributed by the buster machine corps. It's not hard to implement, and prevents genocide via space monsters.

300 WHEN?
>>90002After wololng-induced panic dump of all things crypto.
>>90002When BTC is no longer kill
>>90002When gox stops spreading their cancer.
>>88773reminds me of DKC
Is amdoge here? You said you had a thread bot, right? Can we repurpose it for PND?
>>89380Just don't let your doge starve, ok?
>>87953I think you're totally wrong. The cyclical nature has to come from people re-gaining belief in BTC and dumping a few billion dollars into the market for it to ever near $1000 again. The only news that would spark that reaction would be use in e-commerce. But the way BTC operates does not allow it to be used in the retail world.BTC is dead. A more corporate palatable cyrpto like XRP will storm the world.
>>90204Of course not.
http://giant.gfycat.com/AcademicAcclaimedBellsnake.gifplebbit delivering. sorry for no image post, but it's above the size limit.
>>90210Isn't it 100% premined, though? I don't see the point. It would be like corporations printing their own money.
Buy MINTCoins! Theyre the future.
>>90273They have enough interest on their own without me.
fast pool is currently up and moving bretty gudsuchcoin switched their us servers to ca and are moving very slowI don't like fastpool, their shits fucked up to often
>>90263waxing /pol/ here, but... corporate states, here we come. the 0% premines will be for the various anarchist factions opting out of the system altogether.like a william gibson novel except written by someone who isn't technologically illliterate.
>>90210i was extrapolating based on bitcoin's admittedly short history. if you're going to make sweeping predictions for the future, well, have fun or whatever.
>>90210XRP is retarded, it missing the point entirely.
>>90263Yes, it's all mined out by corporations and given out to all their friends. So if you want to participate, you have to get it from one of their friends. Which gives me no incentive to use over btc or credit

>>90412why do they hate giveaways so much? i don't even mind the address spam, it's easy to scroll past it.
>>90412Sorry to hear that. The fucking janitors are in overdrive mode thanks to this new fucking board. Shitstorm will hopefully pass soon and we can be more like /g/ doge instead of /biz/ doge.

>>91311What was that again?
>>91320Ultracoin
>>91333I've never heard about that.
>>91340Really? It was mentioned here once or twice. Launch was awful, I didnt even really get mining until the next day, but I did get 220 before I stopped, sold for about .2 BTC, right before it crashed.Have you mined any poker?
>>91374Poker wasn't too interesting in my opinion.
About how many dogecoins are added (mined) to the supply per day?
