I lost thousands of link because I kept them on an exchange called Etherdelta and somebody on here posted a tumblr link that had a javascript injector in it that took my keys I had and took all my money. It was everything I had in crypto at the time

if this is real, if you have a ledger, you generated your OWN seed phrase, backed it up, and tested that you recorded it correctly by restoring it and verifying that the keys match, you'll be fine.

but back up your seed, securely (maybe make 3 2/3 backups and split them up), and I personally recommend using an extra passphrase attached to a full 8-digit PIN for a cold wallet, or even an ephemeral passphrase that is not attached to a pin for maximum security.

LINK is intrinsically worthless. Node operators can be paid in existing cryptocurrencies. Just look at the testnet right now, it only accepts ETH instead of LINK lmao. It means that ETH can easily be substituted for it, that is, if someone wants to fork the token to accept ETH (an established cryptocurrency instead of some fucking ERC20 token made with a two-man team), LINK is basically useless. That is besides the fact that everything LINK aims to do can be easily done by cryptographically signing the data from the API source.
